This amazing property has everything you need for a wonderful beach holiday. The position is stunning, right on the water's edge. Gaze at the beach under the boughs of the huge grandad pohutukawa. Sip wine at sunset under the palm tree. Launch your boat at the gateway to some of New Zealand's best fishing and dive sites. The beach is private and has two lagoons offering a safe playground for children with estuaries and rock pools. This old-style bach ( beach house) is rustic and charming. The space Fabulous views of the beach and islands. An idyllic setting - oozing X-factor. You won't want to leave! The house is appealing with good indoor/outdoor living. It is one of the original baches (beach houses), located in the prime position on the beach. It has grown into homely eclectic, somewhat quirky, property yet with the benefits of fast starlink WiFi, a smart TV, and an expresso coffee machine! We offer a quintessential Kiwi bach experience in a slice of paradise rather than a hotel-style AirBnb type of accommodation. if you are looking for slick and modern this is not the place for you. The drawers dont run smoothly and the carpet is worn in places but you will struggle to find a more idyllic spot for a family or friend gathering in a house that is set up for conviviality and easy practical living. There are two roomy waterfront queen bedrooms (one with an old-style wooden cot). Leading from the conservatory there is a smaller charming captain's cabin with a built-in queen and a fourth cosy bunkroom with two single bunk beds. A delightful little antique rustic caravan sits right on the waterfront which has a double bed would suit younger adults or those who are happy with an older vibe and facilities. The large indoor conservatory area is great for the kids on wet days and includes a pool table. This space is also great for dumping beach gear and has a second indoor beach shower and toilet. This is our much-loved family bach, we live 30 mins away. We invite you to create your own magical holiday memories just as we have done. SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS NEARBY Golden beach is great for windsurfing , wingfoiling, kiteboarding, sailing, fishing, diving and kayaking. Abundant fish and shellfish for the hunter-gatherers! Lagoons -ideal for beginners or children's watersports. Sandpit in the garden Coastal walks, bird life, seals, green-lipped mussels. Cavalli islands nearby for boat trips. Rainbow Warrior dive site and Kauri Cliffs golf course 50mins drive away .Close to Bay of Islands, Paihia, Russell- boat trips, swim with the dolphins. Thriving town of Kerikeri 20 minutes away with many choices of local restaurants, wineries, large supermarkets, arts and crafts, chocolate factory and many takeaways. Private beach with gated access with friendly and very safe community environment. Twenty minute drive to Kerikeri. Close to Kauri Cliffs golf course. Ten persons staying overnight is the maximum. Guest access The whole house is at your disposal with room to park 3 or 4 cars and/ or off the road . The key is hidden at the property. The beach is private and has a gate with a code that changes monthly. I will send the code prior to your booking. You will need a 4 WD to launch boats from the ramp on the beach. Other things to note We much prefer if you bring your own linen. A list will be provided when you book. Otherwise linen costs $35 per person.
