Our modern luxury cottage is fully equipped with quality linen, furniture, and fittings. After a beach swim/walk, bike ride or surf you can cool off under the outside shower and relax in the courtyard/garden with a cold drink. Located on SH35 only 2 minutes' drive from Opotiki. There are no taxi services in Opotiki. Guest access Entire cottage within a fenced garden area with access to beach and bike trails. Private parking is located next to the cottage. Disposal of rubbish is located in bins next to the outdoor clothesline. Bikes for trails are available on request. Other things to note Hukuwai Beach Cottage is located on State Highway 35, gateway to the beautiful East Cape; however, being close to the highway, you will hear some traffic noise particularly during the day. There is ample parking for a boat if required. Fish filleting and cooking needs to be done outside. Not suitable for children or pets. Our black cocker spaniel Khan does bark at visitors to the property, although he is friendly. If you are nervous of dogs, please let me know and I will ensure he is in the house when you arrive. *Cleaning and sanitisation* Heath, safety and well-being of our guests are of utmost importance.
