Other things to note Tree of Life House, Number 27 Bere Lane is a former permanent B&B. Most of the time the whole house is now rented as a 5 bed holiday home, and occasional B&B when I am in residence. You have the opportunity to stay in the ‘owner’s accomodation’ (with no access to the rest of the house beyond the kitchen door). This spectacular house has been renovated to a high standard, sitting with the peak of the infamous Glastonbury Tor as a backdrop, making an excellent location for both young families and couples alike. The house enjoys ample off-road parking, where you can unload your belongings with ease before making your way to the rear entrance of your new home-from-home. Make use of the handy utility and separate toilet to freshen up before making your way through to the open-plan kitchen/living room/conservatory where you can unwind with a moment of peace in front of the television, relax on any of the three sofas in the conservatory with your significant other, or a luxurious bubble bath together in the freestanding bath and large walk in shower. Take advantage of the large lawned garden, with garden furniture and head outdoors to soak in the last of the evening sunshine with your favourite tipple or challenge each other with a spot of table tennis in the games room. As the day draws to a close, head indoors where you'll find your king-size bedroom with TV and access to its own en-suite bathroom with free standing bath, ideal for guests with limited mobility with a walk in shower, and everything is all on one level. Please note steps from the patio by the rear doors are required down to the lawn, although there are indeed less steep ones by the garage. A travel cot is available on prior arrangement if you are travelling with a baby and are happy for them to be in the living area (no black out blinds as it leads to the conservatory), or a tight fit in the bedroom!. A short walk from your doorstep will bring you into the centre of Glastonbury where you'll find all of your local amenities, including a bustling high-street with eclectic, artisan independent shops, markets and frequent special events and a delicious selection of eateries, ranging from traditional pubs, quaint cafes and foreign cuisines. Take a step back in time with a visit to the nearby Somerset Rural Life Museum & cafe or explore the ruins of Glastonbury Abbey, or if that's not your thing, retreat with a wander through the ancient grounds of Chalice Well, visit the White Springs and climb to the summit of the Glastonbury Tor, where views stretch as far as Wales on a clear day and atmospheric mists can often be seen at dawn all around. Lace up your walking boots and journey north to lose yourself amongst the limestone peaks of the Mendip Hills, designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, or for a coastal adventure, the popular seaside town of Weston-super-Mare isn't too far, where glorious golden sands, a grand pier, a handful of fascinating museums and an 18-hole golf course offer something to suit everyone. Make memories that will last a lifetime with your loved one with a stay at the Love Shack at Tree of Life House.
