A beautiful stone terraced cottage with private parking for two cars in the popular rural village of Low Bentham. Ideally situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, Forest of Bowland and within easy reach of the Lakes. The cottage is full of character and in the perfect location for walkers, cyclists/motorcyclists, or those simply wishing to relax in a peaceful countryside setting. Guests have private use of the whole cottage, divorced front garden and patio, secure garage and parking area. The space Sunnybrook Cottage offers spacious but cosy accommodation for up to four guests who can enjoy the whole property and private front garden. Through the front door, guests are welcomed to a spacious living area with a smart LG TV, comfortable 4 seater L shaped sofa and stone mullioned fireplace housing a multi fuel stove. Complimentary logs and coal are provided for guests. The traditional kitchen/dining area is tastefully decorated with fitted oak units and a stone tiled floor. The large range cooker has seven burners and a double fan oven. It is well equipped with a kettle, toaster, microwave and large fridge/freezer. There is a small separate utility room which has a washer/dryer, iron, ironing board and clothes airer. Upstairs, there is a spacious main bedroom with a king size bed and a feature point stone wall. The second bedroom is a spacious twin room. Towels and bed linen are provided. The modern bathroom has a roll top bath and separate shower cubicle - the perfect place to relax after a long day exploring. For families with small children, we can provide a travel cot and a highchair on request. We are happy to welcome two well behaved dogs and we don’t charge pet fees. We also provide doggy essentials (dog bowls and poo bags). Outside, the divorced garden is opposite the front of the cottage and found behind the garage and parking area. It features a sheltered and private patio with a six seater dining set, and a lawned garden bounded by a small stream and the River Wenning. A charcoal BBQ is provided. Low Bentham occupies a beautiful spot on the edge of Yorkshire Dales National Park. There is a lovely village pub within 100 metres of the cottage and a children’s play park a 5 minute walk away. It is the perfect base to explore all that the area has to offer. Ingleton is only short drive away and there you will find Ingleborough Cave, Ingleton Waterfall Trail and an outdoor swimming pool (great for the summer months or even the winter months if you are brave!). Ingleton is a really popular Yorkshire village boasting unique shops, bars and restaurants. A short drive in the other direction is the market town of Kirkby Lonsdale. The town is home to the famous 14th century Devil’s Bridge and the picture perfect viewpoint ‘Ruskin’s View’. Kirkby is becoming increasingly popular for its independent shops and you will be spoilt for choice for places to eat and drink. If a pub crawl is your thing, Kirkby is the place to go! Guest access Guests enjoy full and private use of the cottage, garden, private parking area and garage. The lockable garage has light, power and water connected. It is a great space to securely store bikes or motorbikes and it provides a convenient area to store muddy boots and walking gear. There is a hose in the garage for washing down muddy gear or dogs! Other things to note There is a railway line close by that runs a limited service of passenger trains daily but guests may be lucky enough to spot a steam train passing!
