This holiday home accommodates up to 8 guests in stylish and contemporary interiors. The space Bright and modern, the villa’s open-plan layout boasts a living room facing the outdoor terrace, with large windows letting plenty of natural light in. Here guests can find a billiards table, comfy sofas and a TV which leads into a chic kitchen equipped with modern appliances. Aspiring chefs will love the state-of-the-art fittings, and details such as the wine fridge. One bedroom with its own shower room is located downstairs, while the rest of the bedrooms can be found on the upper floor, conveniently tucked away for privacy. Each is tastefully furnished in a melange of neutral hues with the occasional pop of blue or dark grey. A single step from the living room takes you to the outdoor terrace and garden, with a front-row view of the pool and the surrounding greenery. The terrace makes for the ideal place to soak up the sunshine during the day and watch it slip behind the horizon in the evening with a glass of local wine. Others will love swimming in the long pool or relaxing on a deckchair without a single care in the world. The closest village, Barbentane, is only 4 km away, offering guests an option to explore its surroundings and amenities. Avignon, with its historic past and array of UNESCO World Heritage Sites, is only 12 km away, meaning you can spend every day strolling around its crumbling, cobble-stone streets and taking in its old-world charm. It is also full of delis, bistros and restaurants serving traditional French cuisine, alongside ambient wine bars so is the perfect place for foodies and wine lovers. The city of Nîmes is also a comfortable 40 km away if you are after a change of scene. Best known for its well-preserved Roman monuments such as the Arena of Nîmes – a double-tiered amphitheatre similar to the one in Rome – and the limestone temple Maison Carrée, it lures history buffs from all around the world to admire the architecture and learn more about its intriguing past. If you want to get out to nature and start exploring, you will be really spoiled for choice here. The Alpilles Natural Regional Park is a nature reserve offering walking and hiking trails as well as biking and horse-riding options. Camargue Regional Natural Park can be discovered 28 km away. The rich territory is made of plains, salt marshes and Salicornia moors where you can spot wild horses, herds of bulls and pink flamingos, and wander through pastures full of fascinating fauna and flora. Barbentane, a quaint village by the banks of the Rhône, is just a 5-minute drive from the maison and offers typical Provençal charm. It is simply the place to be for a harmonious stroll around cobbled alleyways, with buildings like Maison des Chevaliers and Moulin de Bretoule creating fairy-tale-like scenery. Just 15 minutes by car across the river Durance, a left tributary of the Rhône, you can reach Avignon. The city is bursting at its seams with great sightseeing opportunities, and two of its landmarks are classified as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. While the Papal Palace is a one of the largest and most important medieval Gothic buildings in Europe, Avignon Bridge running across the river Rhône is also worth admiring. Grab a drink and get ready for some people watching at the Place de la Comédie, a lively square with shops and restaurants, before going to see the Gothic Cathédrale Saint-Pierre which dates back to the 1300s and is distinguished by its conical towers. Although there is nothing wrong with enjoying all the benefits of city living, those who prefer more serene locations will also find their niche here. Notably, Camargue Regional Natural Park is a fantastic place to organise a hike or walking trip for those wishing to get immersed in nature. Located on the Mediterranean coast, the rich land is home to thousands of bird species, including pink flamingos and it is dominated by salt marshes, wetlands, and various plains.
