This compact ground floor unit has been modernised and has a welcome, charismatic interior. Fully equipped kitchen. You have your own private entrance door. We provide bed linen, towels, shower gel, shampoo, Wi-Fi and a survival kit of coffee and tea. This apartment isn't suitable for people with mobility issues, please read below. The space The apartment comprises a double bed (140cmx200cm), shower area, living room with dining table, kitchen and... lots of charm! The kitchen is fully equipped with integrated appliances: oven (with microwave function), electric hob, washer, and furthermore a large fridge-freezer, kettle, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine (what else?) and several household appliances. Lisbon has a mild warm climate for most of the year. We provide a mobile fan, during the summer period. Original shutters are also present. In the winter period a mobile heater is available. Merely out of precaution, a fire extinguisher, fire blankets and a first-aid kit are present. Ceiling height is approximately 240cm. Door entrance height is approximately 190cm. Other things to note Full disclosure, please read carefully: The apartment is on a hill top, in an alley with pedestrian access only. Uber/Bolt/Taxi and even the local bus can't make it to the doorstep, hence some walking uphill will be required. Hence, the apartment isn't suitable for people with mobility issues. The apartment is located on the ground floor, but there is a step inside the apartment. The apartment isn't suitable to overly plump people. The apartment has been modernised but the structure of the building itself is of a typical, older nature, just like most of the other buildings in the historical city centre of Lisbon. The windows are single glazed. The usual external city noises should be expected. You will be able to hear the footsteps of the neighbours. Light sleepers may want to bring earplugs given the relatively lower level of sound insulation. Pests and animals like cockroaches, ants and spiders are present throughout the historical city centre of Lisbon. This isn't something we can control 100% at all times. We have a contract with a professional pesticide company that places the pesticide inside and around our properties throughout the year. Furthermore, the high cleaning standards the professional cleaning company adheres to minimises any potential issue. Nevertheless, we can't control this at all times. Therefore, in case you have a phobia or an issue with this, you may want to consider finding an accommodation outside the historical city centre. Ceiling height is approximately 240cm. Door entrance height is approximately 190cm. Mind your head. Parking in the surrounding streets is not possible since the area is closed off for regular traffic. The few existing parking spaces relatively nearby (about 5 minutes walking) are mostly designated to residents only. Paid street parking is available further away but time limited to 4 hours maximum.
