The Barnhaus is a Scandinavian inspired unique one of a kind water home on stilts retreat powered by solar energy and self sustaining water supply for showers and washing. It is located in an island on the edge of a mangrove forest and is only accessible by pump-boats. It is part of the Perral's Waterplaza And Aquafarm. The entire area has its own cove, clear ocean water, no waves, perfect for multiple aquasports activities like kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, fishing, diving, swimming, etc. The space How to get to The Barnhaus/Perral's Waterplaza: FROM SURIGAO CITY-go to Nueva Port, catch the once a day passenger pumpboat to the Waterplaza, usually between 12p-1p for PHP100 per person. Another option is to schedule our own pumpboat for a fee(approximately PHP4,500 roundtrip). You can request to be picked up by a local passenger pump-boat operator for P150 per person to go back to Surigao City, pick up at 7am. 35-50 mins each way depending on the number of passengers. FROM NABAGO-If you have a car, this option is best. Drive to Nabago, Surigao Del Norte, "Nabago Fire Sub-Station" on google maps. Locals will watch your car for P100-200. You can hire a pumpboat for P1500-P2000 one way, to bring you to the Waterplaza. 25-35 mins depending on the number of passengers. Guest access Guest has sole access to the whole property: The Barnhaus with netted swimming pool, deck/dock, lobster farm with foot bridge pathway to the adjacent Property. Your pumpboat will arrive at The Barnhaus dock/deck. The local caretaker of The Barnhaus will bring your luggages and things inside the house. Other things to note Only the 6 guests checked in may enter the cabin. Please be advised that you will have to buy/stock your own food and other essentials before leaving the mainland of Surigao City. Drinking water will be provided in a dispenser at The Barnhaus. DO NOT drink water directly from the faucet. If you have any further needs in someone to cook your food for breakfast, lunch and supper, we can arrange that for you for an extra fee of PHP600/day for the cook. There is also a massage lady that lives in the island. Let the caretaker know ahead of time so the massage lady will be available when you need her. You can pay her directly in cash for couple hundred Philippine pesos. The local island residents are mostly fishermen and they come 2x a day to feed the lobsters in the farm. They may be shy when you speak in English to them and may not respond to you. But it doesn’t mean that they’re ignoring you. It’s only because they don’t understand and can’t speak in English.
