The perfect location to explore this scenic island kingdom. It is as far to Å in the far west as to Svolvær in the east, about 1 hour and 15 minutes each way. Ballstad with its 900 inhabitants has a convenience store and several cafés/restaurants. From the accommodation it is walking distance to many hiking opportunities such as Ballstad hiking trail, Kyllingdalen, Høydebassenget and Gravfjellet (138 m). It is also nice to walk in the streets along the road/lake and look at fishing huts, fishing houses and boats. Leknes is located 10 km from Ballstad.
