Stargazer Barn is situated in Daphnes Orchard an adult only retreat. With views over the natural spring fed pond. Its a perfect spot to chill out & unwind down. The village pub is just a 3 mins away. and a 10 min walk takes you up to Castle Donington with its array of bars, restaurants & gift shops. Ideal place to stay if visiting Donington park race track. close to all major road networks. Sleeps two people comfortably The space This Eco friendly property was built using 90% reclaimed materials. mostly locally sourced. The oak beams from Melbourne, The corrugated tin veranda roof from a barn in the village. The Kitchen was from Casterne Hall in Derbyshire, not long ago home to the Fitzherberts. Some of the scenes from Peaky Blinders were filmed there. The silver sink and loo came from a celebrities mansion (who we cant name). The cedar shingle roof from A farm on the outskirts of Nottingham. We have recently furnished it in a vintage style to compliment the building its self. Guest access The whole of the property Other things to note This is a quiet 30+ adult only accommodation suitable for 2 people. Well behave dogs are welcome (maximum of two). There are lots to do on the door step. Plenty of local walks including the airport trail. We are less than a 30 minute drive away from Calke abbey, Kedleston hall, Staunton Harold, Snibston discovery park. Nottingham & Derby are easy to get to by car or bus. We are 3 miles from East midlands airport & parkway train station. Castle Donington is a 10 minute walk away, with a wealth of shops, bars & restaurants. The village pub is less than a five minute walk from the site.
