Flexible reschedule option with $100 administrative fee. The space The Fitz Inn is our charming 1-bedroom, 1 bath cottage, offering 500 square feet of cozy, Eastern Shore comfort. It’s the perfect waterside retreat for up to four guests. The bedroom’s queen-size bed with extra pillows offers you a beautiful night's rest after a day of exploring all that Kent Island has to offer. In the living room, you'll find a pull-out couch with mattress pillow top so it’s a bit better than your average sleeper sofa! Two smart TVs provide entertainment options when you aren’t enjoying the water view sunsets just steps away. The kitchenette provides a touch of nostalgia with its vintage features, but it’s best suited for small meals and snacks. For more substantial fare, an outdoor gas grill awaits. Delicious seafood, Italian, and lots of other local restaurants offer delivery, and Door Dash options are available if you prefer to order in. WIFI keeps you connected throughout your stay. Glimpses of the water are available from the cottage, but guests are welcome to enjoy their coffee or wine on the Adirondack chairs on our property overlooking Cox Creek. A short drive or taxi/Uber ride to all the Kent Island fun, including wedding venues, dock bars, restaurants, marinas, and beaches. The cottage sits on our property shared by our home, but you’ll have plenty of privacy. And if you need something, we’re close by! Hosts are allergic to animal dander, saliva, fur & skin cells from animals such as cats, dogs, rabbits, horses, etc. Animals and smoking are a serious health threat to host and host family because of allergies/asthma. While we sincerely respect ADA rules and the needs of persons utilizing service animals, we ask that you PLEASE respect our health needs as well. If any reservations are booked by a guest with an animal, AIRBNB will help host cancel without fees or other consequences to host. Guest access Guest have access and privacy at the Fitz Inn but may enjoy the views of Cox Creek behind the main house. Other things to note Want to arrive by boat? Disclosures: The ceilings are on the lower side, so if you are an NBA star, this may not be the perfect place for you. That said, one of the hosts (Sean) is 6'1, so most taller folks are just fine at the Fitz Inn. We don't want to hide any other "shortcomings" so here are some other items to consider before you book: The cottage is really cute, but the bathroom is small and no frills. We are not the place for you if you need a large, luxurious bathroom. The kitchen has all the essentials like oven/stove, a full-size refrigerator, and other amenities, but it's not large. You can certainly enjoy your meal at the pub table or cozy up in front of the television, but this is not the place to cook Thanksgiving dinner due to lack of counter space.
