Kurumi no Oyado is located in Miyotamachi, close to Karuizawa, where there are many tourist spots, and is an area rich in nature with Mt. Asama right nearby. Kurumi no Oyado is the perfect base for enjoying the outdoors and mountain climbing. There is also a veranda unique to an old private house, and you can see the garden from there, so you can have a relaxing time. There are many cheap hot springs in the neighborhood that are highly effective. We will also provide guidance, so we hope you will enjoy the hot springs. From spring to fall, we offer agricultural experiences, such as taking care of goats at a nearby goat farm, and for those who wish, we also offer a flower arrangement experience, and Japanese language classes for foreigners. If you are interested in moving to the Miyota area, we can also discuss long-term stays as a rural experience. There are many wonderful natural hot spring baths nearby where you can enjoy a soak for around 500 yen. We’ll be happy to share our top recommendations with you in advance, so you can relax and enjoy your stay with us.★ Our guesthouse is about a 40-minute walk from the nearest station if you’re coming by public transportation. There are a total of three rooms available for lodging. The rooms in the separate house (Reservations are for two persons only and cannot be made by one person.) of those rooms can be reserved in this listing. Each room can accommodate up to two people, and two of the rooms in the main house can be connected, so if you have more than three people (excluding infant children), you will probably need to rent a room in the main house instead of the separate rooms. Rooms can be reserved through a separate listing, so please check the reservation screen where the main house is listed after the name of the inn. Our inn is an old traditional Japanese house where you can experience country life and enjoy nature to the fullest. We do not have the facilities of a hotel or ryokan. All rooms are furnished with futons, and there is no air conditioning. The nice thing about old houses is that they are cool enough in summer without air conditioning. In winter, we have heaters and hot water bottles if you feel cold. Amenities provided include toothbrushes, bath towels, and mini-towels. Please feel free to contact us in advance if you are concerned about other small preparations. A separate charge of 500 yen per night is required for heating fuel during the winter season. Guest access The living room, washroom, and toilet are shared. All of these are on the first floor of the main house, and there is no toilet in the separate building, so you will have to use the toilet in the main house. The main house is right next door and very close, so I think it will be easy to use the washroom and toilet. However, please note that guests staying in the main house will also use it, so depending on the time of day, it may be crowded, so please be aware that you will be sharing it. We also have a covered garage where you can store road bikes, outdoor tools, skis, snowboards, etc., so please use it if you like. Other things to note * Please be sure to read this before making a reservation. All indoor areas are non-smoking. Smoking outside is only allowed in designated areas. If you would like to smoke, please let us know at the reception. Please refrain from hosting parties that may cause noise after 8 pm as this is a very quiet place at night. We cannot receive or store any camping supplies, materials, or tools for event sales.
