South coast apartment for two

Our spacious first floor apartment is perfect for singles or couples visiting family in the area, working away from home, or looking for a comfortable base from which to explore the beautiful coastline and countryside of this part of West Sussex. The space A lovely self-contained apartment comprised of private entrance into hall with storage, open plan living area/diner/kitchenette and separate bedroom and shower room. The apartment was completely refurbished to a high standard in 2023. The open plan living area is modern, uncluttered and spacious. The kitchenette is newly fitted and contains a fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle together with all the utensils you will need. Please note that an oven and hob are not provided. Washing up liquid, sponge and tea towels provided. Table and chairs suitable for dining/remote working. The living room is spacious and comfortable with two sofas where you can sit and watch your favourite shows on the Smart TV. Free Wi-Fi provided. The bedroom is light and bright with a king size bed, storage and clothes hanging space. The shower room with lavatory and wash basin is fitted with an electric shower. heated towel rail and is fully stocked with towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner. The Velux windows have electric controls and rain sensors so that you can leave them open at night or when you go out, knowing that they will shut themselves if it rains. All Velux have pull down black out blinds to ensure a good night’s sleep. Please note the property does not have an oven or hob. Guest access Exclusive use of the accommodation. The hosts live in the main house below the apartment. Not suitable for babies and young children as the stairs open into the main living area. Off road parking for one car in front of the house. Secure bike storage is available for two bikes. Other things to note You will find a range of facilities in the village: Tesco Express, Co-op, pharmacy, greengrocers, pub, and café plus train station and bus for exploring further afield. Emsworth is just up the road, 5 minutes by car, one stop on the train/bus or less than ten minutes by bike. You can also get there on foot by either the coastal or countryside route in about half an hour. Emsworth has a full range of shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs. We are located halfway between the historic city of Chichester with its beautiful 11th century cathedral, ancient city walls and modern Festival Theatre and Portsmouth which has something for everyone. For history, head to the Historic Dockyards to see HMS Warrior and the Victory, for shopping Gunwharf Quays and for family fun, Blue Reef Aquarium and the seafront at Southsea. Goodwood is an easy 20 minute drive or leave the car here and take the train from the village to Chichester to catch the shuttle bus up to the horse racing or Motor Festivals. The South Downs and coast are a wonderful area to explore on foot or by bike (road, MTB and gravel routes). Your hosts are keen walkers and cyclists and if you cannot find a route you like in the books provided, please just ask. Chichester is approximately 8 miles to the east and Portsmouth to the west: both easily reached by car, bus, or train from the village.
