Newly renovated, The Old Chapel provides guests with the best of both worlds: stay in the heart of the undulating British countryside with numerous walks on the doorstep, whilst right in the centre of a charming rural village, with all amenities to hand! The space The Old Chapel is a prominent historic village building, at nearly 200 years old, and has been newly refurbished, offering a luxury self-catering home-from-home environment. A stay at The Old Chapel is all about life's simple pleasures: a sumptuous super king bed for cozy lie-ins; drawn-out pub lunches; long rural rambles; relaxing in your very own south facing private garden, with the birds chirping, watching the sunset over the Malvern Hills. An impressive, expansive space with high ceilings and filled with natural light, yet super cozy and comforting. Relax in the main space, enjoying the large TV and books to hand. Why not enjoy watching TV from the comfort of your own bed?! There is a table behind the headboard, which can be used as a dressing table (mirror and hairdryer provided), and/or as a working desk, with socket for laptop use. There is a fully-equipped, newly-fitted kitchen with induction hob, oven, extractor fan, fridge/freezer. Breakfast bar table and stools in the kitchen; dining table in the main space. A stable door opens onto the south facing private garden, with BBQ on the patio. The warm spa-like bathroom, with double height ceiling, offers a large walk-in shower, underfloor heating (in winter months), heated towel rail, fluffy bath towels, dressing gowns and a range of toiletries. The Location Bishampton is a beautiful Worcestershire rural village nestled between Broadway, Cheltenham, Stratford-upon-Avon (home of Sir William Shakespeare) and the cathedral city of Worcester, as well as the Malvern Hills. The Village has a church, village shop, café and post office, beauty/spa and hair salon, village hall with various weekly classes, park and children’s play areas, and a restaurant, all within a few paces! There are countless footpaths and cycling routes on offer, right from the doorstep. Just outside the Village is the Vale Golf club with two courses, a driving range, and clubhouse and restaurant. Non-members can play at the course with a green fee. It also has fishing facilities and can host wedding events. Within walking distance is Watersedge Club, a stunning lakeside wellness club, offering paddle boarding, open water swimming, outside sauna, fitness and holistic sessions such as yoga, pilates, tai chi, sound baths. There are many top-rated eateries on offer close-by, namely: ‘Ounce’, a few doors down, offering mouth-watering hand-crafted beef cuts; ‘Rise + Grind’, a farmhouse-inspired eatery serving up locally-sourced, seasonal delights for breakfast and lunch; ‘Toast’, a family-run, modern, farmhouse-meets-industrial vibe, breakfast and brunch restaurant. And, of course, there are many wonderful country pubs and farm shop cafes in close proximity! You will be spoilt for choice for what to do! We are more than happy to provide you with ideas for day-trips, activities and tips in the local area, and further afield – just ask! Guest access Enjoy complete privacy with access via lockbox and gate, through to The Old Chapel and your own south facing private garden. Whilst there is much you can explore on foot, you will need a car to explore the wider area. Plenty of free and easy parking on residential roads. There is no on-site parking available. There is a village hopper bus – the stop is located outside the Village shop and Old School House, opposite.
