The Coach House, Halstead Hall is a cosy, detached cottage within the grounds of the Grade II listed residence of the esteemed author Edith Nesbitt. Located in the peaceful village of Halstead, this idyllic retreat offers tranquility while being conveniently just a 20-minute train journey from London, accessible via a short taxi or bus ride to the local train station. The space This warm and welcoming cottage offers a spacious double room with a day bed for two, a twin room and 2 full bathrooms, accommodating five guests. A sixth guest can be welcomed upon request with an additional fee. Both bedrooms are furnished with extra pillows, soft blankets, and additional cotton linens. In the bathrooms you’ll find towels, basic toiletries and essential cleaning products. For additional convenience, the property includes a washing machine, iron, and clothes horse. The fully-equipped kitchen provides all you need for a cosy meal in, with cutlery, crockery, essential cooking utensils, and staples like tea, coffee, sugar and spices. The dining area, set for six, ideal for mealtime or as a quiet workspace. Unwind in the lounge, with a smart TV, plus a selection of board games and books. Sliding doors from the lounge open onto a patio with a dining area, bench and BBQ for the summer months. Guest access Guests enjoy exclusive access to the entire house, including a private patio. While the one-acre garden is shared with my family, you’ll have your own dedicated, private section to relax and make the most of the serene countryside setting.
