Description
This Gem provides enchanting blends of breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. Buckle up, adventurers, because the drive to this property is anything but ordinary! Brace yourselves for a thrilling and pulse-pounding journey that will push your limits. Steep hills that seem to touch the sky, winding roads that twist and turn, along with portions of it so narrow that it feels like navigating through a secret passageway into the Rainforest. NOT HANDICAP ENABLED. The space A True Countryside Retreat, Not a Hotel Experience. Our home offers an authentic country-style, rural experience nestled on the edge of El Yunque. This is not a luxury hotel or resort; it’s a place for guests who want to disconnect from the city's noise and immerse themselves in nature. Here, you’ll wake up to fresh mountain air, lush greenery, and the sounds of the rainforest. Evenings come alive with the chorus of coquí frogs, a true Puerto Rican experience that reminds you how close you are to nature. The nights aren’t silent; they’re full of life. Nature is part of the stay, from changing weather and wildlife to rural surroundings and mountain views. If you’re looking for manicured grounds, room service, or a polished hotel atmosphere, this may not be the right fit. But if you’re seeking a genuine countryside escape, exposure to nature, and an authentic island experience, this is the perfect place to slow down, unwind, and reconnect. For your peace of mind, the fire extinguisher and first-aid kit are both in the closet where the beach towels and extra linens are stored. They are easy to access if ever needed. Also, we are prepared for Anything, seriously! We believe peace of mind is part of a great vacation, so our home is equipped with not just one, but two major backup systems to keep things running no matter what Mother Nature throws our way. First up: a full home backup generator. If the power goes out (which can occasionally happen in paradise), this beast kicks in automatically and powers the entire house, including A/C, lights, and the fridge (except WiFi). That’s not up to us, sorry. You won’t even notice the switch. Very few Airbnbs in the area offer this kind of backup, and we’re proud to be one of them. Second: a backup water tank, just in case there’s ever a disruption in the main water supply. So whether you’re in the middle of a relaxing shower or rinsing off after a hike, we’ve got you covered, no surprises. Basically, we’re the Airbnb version of a survivalist… but with style, comfort, and really good vibes. Guest access Shed & Hot Tub Shed (Off-Limits Area): On the backside of the property, there is a small shed that we use exclusively for maintenance purposes. This is where our cleaning and landscaping teams keep their tools and equipment. For safety and security reasons, this shed is the only area of the property that is off-limits to guests. We kindly ask that you do not enter or use this space during your stay. Hot Tub (Special Feature): The property does have a hot tub located outdoors; however, you will not see it listed as an official amenity in the Airbnb listing. The reason for this is that the hot tub’s availability depends on several natural factors. • The water used to fill the hot tub comes directly from the streams of El Yunque Rainforest, meaning it is pure mountain water, naturally rich in minerals. • At times, depending on rainfall, water pressure, and overall water quality, the conditions may not be suitable for filling and using the hot tub. For example, after heavy rain, the water may become cloudy or sediment-filled, which prevents us from preparing it to the standard we want for our guests. • Because of this, the hot tub is not guaranteed and therefore not listed as a permanent amenity. Instead, it is treated as a special feature that may or may not be available during your stay. When conditions allow, it is a truly unique and relaxing experience to enjoy the rainforest water in a hot tub right at the edge of El Yunque. Other things to note ** Internet & Connectivity** Due to the rural rainforest location, internet service is limited to the only provider available in the area. Speeds may vary, especially during heavy rain. It is suitable for general browsing and light streaming but may not support high-demand remote work or large downloads. **Airport:** The SJU Airport is approximately 40-50 minutes from the property, depending on traffic. It’s 80% highway, with about 3 to 4 tolls along the way. **Vehicle:** A regular sedan is sufficient for the drive to the property. A 4x4 or off-road vehicle is not necessary. **Uber/Lyft:** There are no rideshare services available in this area. **Delivery:** There are no delivery services in this area at all. **Address:** The property is located in a very rural area, so there is no physical address; only a pin for the location.
