Group Bunk Room at The Tractor Shed

Relax in our sole use four bed bunk room. Enjoy a quirky alternative to hotels, BnBs or your tent. Access to our well-equipped shared kitchen, dining area, and bathroom facilities. We’re just a short distance from the beach, birdlife, and the Heb Way Cycle Route. It’s the perfect base for exploring Uist or venturing further afield with day trips to Harris or Barra. Discounts are available for solo travellers, longer stays, and weekly bookings. Sorry dogs are not allowed in The Bunk Room. The space The bunk room is located in the main Tractor Shed communal building. It comprises of four comfortable full size single beds (with plenty of head room) in a very sturdy structure with stairs rather than ladders! I designed, over engineered and built the bunks myself and took away everything I hated about bunks - wobblyness, creakiness, narrowness, lack of headroom and being close to other peoples feet! There's even soundproofing in the headboards! The top bunks are not suitable for very young children and dogs are not allowed in the bunk room. There are ample electric sockets, it's close to the bathrooms and the kitchen and dining room. Travel light - we have everything you need for a simple and comfortable stay. Our site stands in the heart of agricultural North Uist. The odd tractor may pass but apart from that you will hear nothing but birdlife, cows and sheep. Guest access Our well-equipped communal kitchen, dining area, and bathrooms are open 24/7. Bedding and towels are included, and there’s free on-site parking. Laundry facilities are available for a small fee, and Wi-Fi is provided in all communal areas. During your stay My team and I visit the site each day. If I miss you, I’ll probably catch you the next morning, or you can give me a call. All the details you need for check-in are included in our automated welcome messages.
