The house was designed fully by our late father who had the intention to share and offer the space for people to unwind in the beauty and sanctitude of the jungle, while getting a taste of the wonderful local community of Playa Hermosa. The details of the house are all custom and the home showcases his unique creative style. The property is situated on top of a hill, which offers a lovely ocean view with surrounding views of the expansive jungle. Indulge in the infinity pool and serve up your favorite drinks at the swim-up bar or enjoy a relaxing soak in the ocean-view tub. The master bedroom features a king bed, a walk-in closet, a private patio, and sliding doors that open directly to the pool. The two guest bedrooms have a queen- and full-size bed respectively and share a Jack and Jill bathroom. The third full bathroom is located next to the pool. Each main bedroom has AC as well as an overhead fan. The tower room offers additional space to get work done or to accommodate extra guests if needed, though please note it is a small room and does not have AC, only an overhead fan. The large, open kitchen is fully equipped and offers three bar-stool seating. There is a large table in the covered outdoor ‘dining’ space that can accommodate a large group. Additionally, there are two separate living spaces with couches and chairs, one indoor and one next to the pool just beyond the retracting glass walls. This home is little slice of paradise just outside the popular destination of Uvita. It offers close proximity to all the local tourist attractions and restaurants, while being away from the hustle and bustle of the town. It is located in a very safe local neighborhood, so please note there will be some occasional neighborhood noise. There is an additional studio apartment located above the carport that is shared between the two rentals, and another two bungalow studios on the lower section of the property that share the washer & dryer. Another thing to note is that the road and driveway up to the house can be a bit bumpy in sections. A 4x4 is NOT needed, but a higher clearance vehicle is helpful to have. We regard this home as being ‘mid-tier’ luxury. It is an absolutely beautiful work of art but comes with quirks of being in the jungle as well as it being a half-time family home for the past few years. This means that in the garage and in a couple of cabinets around the house, there are items that belong to the family and the property. We want to be transparent about the fact that this is not just an Airbnb, but a place that will feel like home, with inevitable things here and there that are not perfect. We can guarantee that this is a unique stay and that you will get to see what life in the jungle is really like while being immersed in the natural beauty of the craftsmanship and the ecosystem in which it is intertwined! Guest access Guests have access to the main house, the carport, and the property space located in front of the home. The hillside beyond the pool offers fruit trees that you are welcome to harvest from. The lower section of the property is also available for exploration, but note that there are long-term tenants in the two bungalows who appreciate having their privacy. If you would like to wander around through the 'fruit forest' down below, be mindful of keeping your distance from the bungalows. Other things to note Designed for guests who appreciate nature and authentic tropical living, Casa Vista Cielo offers breathtaking ocean and mountain views surrounded by the beauty of Costa Rica’s lush jungle environment. The home is professionally maintained and carefully cleaned; however, being immersed in nature means guests may occasionally experience local wildlife and natural tropical elements that are common throughout the region. While this is rarely an issue for our guests, we believe in being fully transparent so travelers can choose the experience that best fits their expectations.
