2 Masons Court is an impressive example of a medieval hall. Located in the heart of Stratford upon Avon which is a bustling market town steeped in history. It dates back to 1481 and is recognised as the oldest house in Stratford upon Avon. It is full of character with many charming features of wooden beams, flagstones, stained glass windows. Guests will discover that a short stroll and you are at Shakespeare Birthplace, the Theatre, the river Avon along with choices of restaurants and bars The space 2 Masons Court sleeps up to 4 guests and has 2 bedrooms. Please note the advertised base price is for 2 guests sharing one room. If as 2 guests you require the additional bedroom then there is an additional standing charge of £25 for use of additional room The cottage has just been fully renovated, with a full kitchen, one bathroom and décor in keeping with its time. This is a unique property, has a wealth of history and tales. The property has flagstones, tiled and wooden floors. A stunning dining hall and a cosy lounge. Bedroom 1 Master bedroom This is a spacious room with a stunning super king 4 poster bed, a comfy sofa and plenty of storage space. Bedroom 2 Double metal bed with hanging space and chest of draws with additional space under the bed for storage. Bathroom Has a full cast bath with overhead powerful shower, screen and storage cupboards along with toilet and basin. Gallery landing With a workstation consisting of a desk, comfortable chair and and additional lighting should you need to check in with work. Dining Hall This is a stunning open dining hall where you can host your own medieval banquet. Lounge A cosy lounge with wonderful ambience created by the electric log fire, relaxing sofas, and coffee tables. To the rear of 2 Masons Court across its slabbed court yard is an additional private fenced garden with a mulberry tree in the centre of it. Here you will find a table and chairs for relaxing, alfresco dining and star gazing. There is a free private parking for one car as you pull into the police station entrance on the left there is a gravel area under a tree, 2 Masons Court is the space on the left. There is a slight rise to the kerb do take when parking. There are 2 other paying carparks on the same road as the property a couple of minutes walk. Guest access 2 Masons Court is an entire 2 bedroom private cottage with private access to the rear of the property. This forms part of the larger Wealden Hall that is Masons Court. This over time has been divided into 4 separate cottages. Other things to note Please note that due to the age of 2 Masons Court there is no sound proofing so voices can sometimes be heard from the other guests staying at the other Masons Court cottages. 2 Masons Court has many lovely features, along with uneven floors, low doors and an open tread staircase. Guests with mobility issues need to be fully aware of this and it is also not suitable for children for the reasons given. Third party bookings not permitted by Airbnb or us.
