Enjoy taking a warm soak in the outdoor bath, dining on the large cantilevered terrace or snuggling up with a good book and getting away from it all. The cabin is located within the forest so you can enjoy walking through over 45 acres of woodland and lakes- accessed right from your doorstep. Immerse yourself in the local flora and fauna and watch wildlife, such as deer, kingfishers, herons, beavers, sheep, cows, pheasants, foxes, buzzards, dragonflies, ducks and more - and even try your hand at a spot of carp fishing on the lakes. This is a place to relax, unwind and reconnect with nature during your stay. We are a family business and we truly love what we do. We hope you enjoy your holiday with us and we are always on hand to help out however we can :) Some useful additional info: The cabin has just been fitted with a Starlink satellite system which provides high speed Internet. We have also installed an EV car charger, payable separately during your stay- please enquire for further details. (Please do remember to bring your own car charging lead). The cabin has an open plan kitchenette/ living area with built in appliances- an electric hob, Neff combination microwave/oven/grill and an under counter fridge with small freezer compartment. There is a double bedroom with beautiful oversized velvet headboard and an en-suite shower room with toilet, wash basin and shower. The cabin has a large outdoor balcony with table and chairs which overlooks the lakes. We have also installed a deep outdoor bath on the terrace with with hot and cold running water- perfect for a long warm soak and forest bathing or star gaze in the evenings. The site is located in a quiet valley just minutes off the A30 on the outskirts of a quiet village called Broadwoodwidger - on the Cornwall / Devon border. It’s extremely easy to access all of the local sights and attractions that both Cornwall and Devon have to offer. We have some tourist information packs within the cabin to help you choose where to explore during your holiday and are always on hand to help recommend anything in particular that you would like to see or do. Unfortunately we don’t currently allow dogs in this cabin, but we do warmly welcome them at our larger 2 bedroom sister cabin on the site- it’s called ‘Lakeview’ and has a lovely secure grassy outdoor area for dogs to run happily. Other things to note We have installed a new electric car charging point at this cabin, payable separately during your stay (Please do remember to bring your own car charging lead). There are also more electric car chargers and Tesla Superchargers located approx. 4 miles away in our local village of Lifton. We have installed a new high speed Starlink Internet at the property. Recreational fishing (carp) is available, please just use barbless hooks and bring your own fishing equipment, thank you. The surrounding farmland and woodland requires occasional maintenance throughout the year so you may rarely see our local farmer rounding up livestock or my father in law maintaining the site but they won't disturb you and shall just wave from afar. There is also a very small touring caravan area at the entrance to the site (located very far from the cabins) so there may be up to two caravans (or usually none at all) during your stay. They are old family friends and rarely come back to fish on the lakes - they will not interfere with your holiday. Unfortunately we don’t currently welcome dogs in Treetops cabin, but we do warmly welcome them at our larger 2 bedroom sister cabin on the site- it’s called ‘Lakeview’ and has a lovely secure grassy outdoor area for dogs to run happily. It can be rented together with this cabin or separately - please enquire. Please note that the outdoor bath might not be available during your stay, as if the weather gets too cold and the temperatures go below freezing then the system will need to be drained beforehand to stop any of the pipes from freezing. We do not want to impact upon the enjoyment of your holiday but we will have to access the weather at the time of your stay. Please do let us know if this is a problem and if you need to cancel or amend your booking, many thanks. Please note that we do not permit additional guests, parties, weddings or any other gatherings, thank you.
