Whether you’re unwinding after a day of exploration or preparing for a new adventure, you’ll find everything you need right at your fingertips! The space The Space The Birch Room is completely private and tucked in the back corner of our home at the end of a private hallway. It looks onto a beautiful wood of birch and fir trees. XX sq ft. + A queen sized bed with duvet and four pillows + Custom wood finishes, including wood headboard and floating nightstands made by your host! + Small desk and chair + Locks from the inside We also have a second bedroom available, if you need it. This room looks onto the front of our property and has the best view for spotting local wildlife. Please see the floorplan for a better idea. Large bathroom with bathtub and shower for your exclusive use. Shampoo and Conditioner provided. Other toiletries available on request, so don’t worry if you forget your toothbrush! In the hall, you’ll find a mini fridge, dishes, glassware, and cutlery for your convenience! Milk, cream, sugar, and stevia is provided. You may also use the main kitchen. Extra outdoor parking is available for a trailer, boat, or RV. Electrical hookup is possible. Please let us know in advance to ensure enough space. **Upon booking, please let us know if you require one or two bedrooms made up. If you only need one room, we will make up the Birch Room for you. The second room will remain empty and will not be rented to anyone else.** We welcome your fur babies: 1. Pets must be supervised at all times and never left unattended under any circumstance. Unless additional board fee arrangements are made in advance. 2. The backyard is fenced for large dogs, but it is not impenetrable. A dog could slip through the gaps in the fence or farm gate. If you choose to let your dog off leash it is at your own risk and they should be supervised. 3. Dogs are not allowed in the pool. 4. Pets must be fully house trained. If you have a puppy or elder dog please let us know. 5. Dogs should be socialized with both cats and dogs and be comfortable in another dogs home. 6. Notify us of any pet mess or damage, we understand accidents happen. 7. If your pet sleeps on the bed with you, we are happy to provide an extra sheet to cover the duvet to avoid damage to our bedding. 5. Please bring anything that will help make your pet's stay comfortable. Enjoy the pool. Please note that the walkout doors in the dining area provide DIRECT access to the pool and is NOT fenced so children MUST be supervised at all times outdoors and wear life jackets in and around the pool. You accept full responsibility for any bodily injury arising from swimming and the use of the pool, hot tub and fire pit, and hold owner harmless. You understand there are potential dangers that swimming, being in a hot tub and fire may present to children who are not carefully supervised, as well as the danger to any person through swimming and the use of the pool, hot tub, and fire pit. If a person has health risks, or if a person swims or uses the pool, hot tub, and fire pit while intoxicated or using any kind of drugs or medication, or while pregnant. You agree to be fully and solely responsible for any accidents you may incur. You understand the risks discussed above and agree that you will assume all responsibility for yourself and for the consequences of those in your party. You agree to waive any claim whatsoever against owner for accidents or claims arising from swimming and use of the pool, hot tub, and fire pit. Guest access Your private room(s) are located off a hallway that is separate from the rest of our home. Your bathroom is yours alone as well. Guests are welcome to enjoy the property, including the front porch which is perfect for a late afternoon beverage or the screened in back porch that has a lovely relaxing seating, a long dining table, BBQ/Pizza oven. In the summer, you may use our hot tub and above ground swimming pool is typically open July & Aug, and patio spaces. Please help yourself to the kettle and microwave in our kitchen. Instructions for accessing the house will be provided to you a day or two before your check-in. There is ample parking in our driveway and our property is monitored by outdoor security cameras. During your stay Generally we stick close to home and will be easy to connect with or contact at anytime. Other things to note Local Attractions Prescott is home to several annual events and year round activities to enjoy: + Visit the Prescott Riverwalk District for beautiful views, trails, parks, and patios. + St Lawrence Shakespeare Festival (July and August) + Upper Canada Folkfest (August) + Prescott Summer Concert Series (Sundays in August) + Prescott Farmers’ and Crafters’ Market (Saturdays all summer long) + Prescott Golf Club (Open Spring to Fall) + Prescott Scuba Park (Summer) + Fort Wellington National Historic Site Grocery Stores The closest grocery store is O’Reilly’s Independent Grocer at 150 Prescott Centre Dr, about a 7 minute drive from the house. In the same plaza, you’ll find a Dollarama and Canadian Tire. There is also a Shoppers Drug Mart, Beer Store, and LCBO in Prescott. The closest larger town is Brockville, where you’ll find Wal Mart, Superstore, No Frills, etc. Restaurants: +Takeaway Chinese: Dragon Garden Restaurant - 354 King W, Prescott + Spencer City Bar & Grill - 11 Spencer Street, Spencerville Nature & Recreation We are connected to a vast network of snowmobile trails right outside our back door! Also great for walking. Our favorite local trails are in Limerick Forest, about 18 minutes from the house. There are several different multi-use trails of varying length and difficulty, which are open for horseback riding, snowmobiling, skiing, and hunting. Our favorite is the ‘Chalet Loop’ which is a flat well-maintained walk in the woods, that goes through denser forest as well as open wetland boardwalks. The Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary is about 40 minutes east on the 401. Restaurants
