After a day of exploring, unwind by the spacious pool (apr - sept), or relax around the cozy living room fireplace. - Cook up a beautiful meal in the fully equipped large kitchen and enjoy it around the dining table watching sunset out the french doors. - Living Room 1 features a wood-burning fireplace (wood and kindling provided), while Living Room 2 includes a pool table and a flat-screen TV with all your favorite apps for movie nights. - Just a 10-minute taxi ride from Garrison Station, with easy connections to NYC. 5 minutes from the Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival. 8 minutes from the Garrison Institute Retreat Center. 10 minutes from downtown Cold Spring with lots of cute shops. 20 minutes from the West Point graduation. - A beautiful hiking trail through wild forest begins right from the back door. Or paddle the lake (canoe and lifejackets provided). Or ice skate in winter if you bring your skates. - If you’re up for iconic hikes, the famous Breakneck Ridge and Anthony’s Nose are just 15 minutes away. Or check the house guide for secret nearby gems to skip the crowds. - There are 4 framed beds that can easily sleep 7, or use the pullout couch and floor mattresses to accommodate a larger group. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home including the pond and the forest. There are a couple of closets locked and drawers where we store personal belongings. Other things to note - This is my personal home, so you may find some personal items, such as clothes in the closets or a few things in the fridge. Rest assured, the space is thoroughly cleaned and prepared to ensure a spotless and welcoming stay. - Our home is very connected to the natural world. Please note nature comes in in the form of breezes, dragon flies, or an occasional mouse. (Luckily mosquitoes are rare here and the house is screened.) - The property is pet friendly!
