The Far Side- Wooden Cabin is a charming cabin offering two cosy rooms, with 1 double and 1 single bed, making it an ideal escape for couples, small families, or friends. We are currently moving over to solar and are without electricity during the process! We do have a backup battery for lighting and charging phones only. A Kitchen with a Gas stove and Oven. Outside is the Firepit, a dining room space, and a basic shower and toilet, all very rustic and characterful. The space The Far Side -smallholding property is over a hectare in size with a lovely view and big lawns and lots of trees to sit under. You can wander around the Far Side and explore the little forest we have and the veggie gardens, and fruit trees and enjoy the fruit we have in season, You can walk up to the dam beside the property 200 m away and go for a swim. The property is walking distance from town around 2 km . You can jog and walk safely and can even take a long walk into the mountains from the property, The property is very safe as we have two dogs and a cat that are very friendly but do patrol the property. Other things to note The Far Side is not Glamping of 4 star , it is Rustic and price appropriate. It is very basic and is as we say one up from camping so please do not expect to much. It is ore about the nature around and the birds and the starts at nigh and sitting by a fire and enjoying the view rather than the quality of the accommodation The Caravans have a kettle with coffee and tea and a little fridge , We have basic gass cooking facilities but suggest making a fire i the webber of the Boma and having a BBQ or going for dinner in town in one of our lovely restaurants and meeting the cool people of Barrydale rather than cooking. The Shower and Toilet is outside in the bush i about 20 meters from the Caravan and its got hot water but it is like camping.
