Located at Black Bear Trailhead where you can find lots of UTV trails off our legal road access. We are just off the Moshannon State Forest line and 5 miles from the park. Also, 3.8 miles to I80 in Kylertown. Enjoy some hunting, fishing, hiking, biking and all that the park has to offer. Penn State University is just 25 miles away so you can come back after the game and relax by a nice fire. Note: A portion of the ssrt is closed. We would be glad to show you how to avoid if we are available. The space Very clean 3 bedroom home located adjacent from and approximate 200 yards from the Black Bear Trailhead with legal road access. We are tucked in the mountains of Pennsylvania. The best part of our space is the sun room with a 2 sided wood burning fireplace that looks through to the living area. The sunroom has a game table, couch and chair to relax and plenty of windows. There's a 55" SmartTV in the living room if you would like to stream your favorite shows. There is a comfy double bed in each of the bedrooms with clean white bedding. If you're needing to add extra guests there are 2 single foam mattresses that you could lay on the floor. They are located in the bedroom closet. There is no need to bring bedding. All bedding is provided that includes a pillow with protector and pillowcase, mattress pad, fitted sheet, flat sheet, blanket and bedspread. There are plenty of extra blankets if needed. Our kitchen has everything you will need for your stay. Lots of pots and pans, plates, bowls, mugs, glassware and lots of utensils. There is a crock pot, a regular coffee pot and a Keurig (coffee not provided). There are, however, tea bags and sweetener along with a toaster and mini chopper to chop up those onions for your hot dogs and hamburgers. We have a full size refrigerator, stove and microwave. There is a gas grill and a charcoal grill available. You will need to bring your own charcoal, lighter fluid and matches. We do have grilling utensils in the kitchen drawer. Note... After June of 2022 the gas grill will no longer be available. It has seen it's better days. Note... The camp is listed as sleeping 8 people. This is referring to using the 2 foam mattresses. Please plan accordingly. Note... October 2nd the window ac units will be removed for the winter season. Guest access Guest can use the fire ring outside, wood burning fire pit or charcoal grill. There is a wooden swing to sit on and relax and enjoy the mountain air along with 2 adirondack chairs, resin chairs and a picnic table made by my husband from a very old tree available for you to use also. Other things to note We want to provide a clean comfortable place for you to come and relax. Guests should bring their own shampoo/conditioner, soap and other toiletries. Each bathroom will have one roll of tissue per bathroom per stay no matter length of stay. Guest will need to bring their own firewood and supplies when wanting an indoor or outdoor fire. We can stock firewood for an extra fee, just let us know a few days before you arrive. We also have 2 kayaks/life jackets to use at Black Moshannon State Park ONLY for an extra fee ($65 for both for entire stay). (We will need to know ahead of time to make them available. You must haul back and forth from camp.) We take pride in our camp to provide you with a clean and comfortable place to sit back and relax and we hope you enjoy your stay.
