Debdale Barn

The renovation of our home has been a labour of love for many years now and our cute little annex has been one of the last jobs. We are thrilled at how it has turned out and we are excited to invite you to enjoy a stay at our Little Debdale Barn. Its very quirky with a wonky stone staircase and cute little windows. It has been renovated to make it totally self contained with a separate entrance door and patio area with garden furniture. We really hope you enjoy your stay! The space Our little quirky annex would ideally suit a couple or possible a family with up to 2 small children. It has a small functional kitchen so you can prepare basic meals. There is also a small fridge freezer. There is a dining table which seats 4 and a TV with access to free view. Please note that our WiFi is very sketchy....please don't rely on it being available as we are in a semi rural spot. In the kitchen/dining/sitting room is a pull out sofa bed which would sleep 2 small children (or maybe a teen or 1 small adult). Up the wonky, original stone steps (please be aware these might be a challenge for people with mobility issues) is the bedroom with a comfy King Sized plank bed , an en-suite shower room and walk in closet. There is also a dressing table/desk and chair. Outside is a courtyard with space designated for the use of our guests and a dining table and 4 chairs. Parking is adjacent in the courtyard Guest access The annex/barn is set within a courtyard at the main house. The barn is self contained with its own front door and is accessed by a key kept in the key safe. The courtyard has an area designated to guests of our barn with a dining table and 4 chairs. Free on site parking is adjacent to the barn. Access codes will be provided prior to check in. The Oxclose Trail/Oxclose Woods is adjacent to our paddock and is a lovely short walk or links onto other trails for the more energetic. We are only 15 mins drive away from the home of Robin Hood at the lovely village of Edwinstowe. At the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre you can visit the Major Oak and hang out with Robin Hood and his merry men! We are lucky enough to be within 10 minutes walk of Mansfield Woodhouse train station with access to The Robin Hood Line which runs regularly between Worksop and Nottingham, calling at our nearest town Mansfield along the way. Mansfield is also walkable in about 20 to 25 minutes if you are feeling energetic. You will find a good selection of shops and a regular market in the historic Town Square. Mansfield Leisure Park has an Odeon Cinema, Nando's, Bella Italia, Bar Serenity and a range of fast food outlets plus Sainsbury's and Aldi and a short walk to Il Ross Bar and Restaurant. Mansfield Town Football Club is also close by to here if you fancy supporting The Stags! Ciao Bella is a nice bar and restaurant to visit in this area too or Coco which is a nice cafe/restaurant and gift shop. We have a range of supermarkets close by to our home - (Morrissons, Aldi, Lidl, Asda) and others in and around Mansfield if you wish to self cater...although you may wish to eat out, after all you are on holiday! I will happily recommend places we like! Or maybe a takeaway?? Again, I am happy to recommend and will leave a few menus. SURROUNDING ATTRACTIONS : If you are interested in history there are several National Trust Properties and lots of lovely walks too! See the guide for a few suggestions.
