Stay in a fully self-contained wing of our beautiful historic Grade 2 listed family home dating back to 1616 and mentioned in Pevsner’s Guide. Arranged over 2 floors and with a separate entrance, you have your own kitchen and living room with space for up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms in a quiet Northamptonshire village. There is private parking and we are perfectly positioned with excellent transport links via the A14, M1 and M6 for you to head out to enjoy the lovely countryside around us. The space Well positioned with transport links via the M1, M6 and A14, the West Wing 1616 is a self-contained wing of our Grade 2 listed family home with its own entrance, parking on site and space for 6 guests in 3 bedrooms. Situated in a quiet Northamptonshire village, the property dates back to 1616 and has historical connections to Brasenose College, Oxford, the Church of England and the family of the Dukes of Bedford. The area available is a separate wing of the house over 2 floors. All of the rooms look over the part of the garden set aside for you. WiFi is available throughout. Downstairs: In the living room, there is a table which can seat 6 people to eat. There is a TV with Netflix, a well-stocked bookcase and board games to enjoy. The hand built kitchen includes a Belfast sink, Miele fridge/freezer, washing machine and dryer. Plus an oven, table top dishwasher and coffee machine. There is also a WC on the ground floor. Upstairs: There are 3 bedrooms with double beds situated along a carpeted corridor. Each room has newly laundered bedding and towels. Two of the bedrooms also have their own hand basins. There are 2 bathrooms with baths and shower mixer taps along the same corridor. Please note: there is no freestanding shower in the bathrooms. Luxury Guava & Gold toiletries are provided in each bathroom, with their unique fragrances made exclusively by one of the largest perfume houses in the world. Outside, there is an area of lawned garden set aside for your use. You are asked not to wander beyond that part of the garden please for your own safety as there is open unfenced water and to keep a very close eye on children at all times. There is plenty of parking for cars. We can also provide space to keep bikes although it is not securely locked. The West Wing 1616 is furnished with a mix of antique and new furniture and old reclaimed bathroom fittings. The property is thoroughly cleaned before each check-in and carpets have been deep cleaned but please bear in mind when booking that it is part of a family home in a very old building, not a boutique hotel. It will be a good choice for you if pre-loved is your vibe. As you would expect with any old building, it has some features to be aware of. There is an uneven York stone pathway around our house leading to the entrance to The West Wing 1616 and the staircase leading to the upstairs rooms is quite narrow.
