If you love a little bit of serenity yet close to the centre of Beechworth, "Berrimbillah Cottage" offers all that plus we are pet friendly so bring along your well behaved fur baby and enjoy your short stay with us. The space Warm greetings - I would love to tell you about 'Berrimbillah Cottage'. Berrimbillah is aboriginal for Kingfisher. We do have Kingfishers as well as Kookaburras plus a number of other birds, water birds, echidnas, wallabies and kangaroos, and the occasional koala. Beechworth township is only 5km away and has a number of Cafes and Restaurants, as well a 4 pubs to choose from. ABOUT THE SPACE: "Berrimbillah Cottage" is a fully self contained one bedroom, one bathroom home surrounded by 14 acres of gardens and paddocks. It offers 1 spacious bedroom, an open plan living and dining space, formal lounge, a fully equipped kitchen including a refrigerator, microwave, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, coffee machine, air fryer, an oven and gas stove top. For your convenience we also provide a washing machine and dryer, iron, ironing board, and clothes airer (located on the front verandah). Bedroom: The master bedroom has a King Size bed topped with 1000 TC Egyptian cotton linen, professionally cleaned after every stay. There are enough hangers in the walk in robe, however, we can provide more if you need. During the colder months, we use quality flannelette sheets and an electric blanket to keep you both toasty and warm. However, should you prefer summer sheets, please let us know and we can prepare the bed accordingly. Two Living Rooms: Relax on our comfortable couches in both the Family Room and the Formal Lounge. Both offer 65 inch smart TV's. Kitchen: Our fully equipped kitchen comes complete with an oven, gas cook top, cooking utensils, appliances (microwave, coffee machine, air fryer, kettle and toaster), a fridge, dishwasher and basic pantry supplies if you would like a home cooked meal (salt, pepper, tomato sauce and oil). Complimentary tea/coffee/coffee pods are included. This is a self-catering property however, to assist guests, we provide a complimentary continental breakfast consisting of cereal, toast, condiments, milk, juice, tea and coffee. Also provided is a complimentary bottle of wine and some extra treats for you to enjoy :). Bathroom: The bathroom is generously stocked with complimentary toiletries for your use and includes luxurious towels, professionally cleaned after every stay. Laundry: A washing machine and dryer are located in the laundry next to the second bedroom and includes washing liquid/powder. Heating and Cooling: We provide a gas wall furnace in the main living room; a small unflued gas heater in the formal lounge; and an electric panel heater in each bedroom. Feel free to move a panel heater into the Formal Lounge should you prefer not to use the unflued gas heater. During the summer months, we provide evaporative ducted cooling and a couple of fans for additional cooling. WIFI: You will find the router in the formal lounge. Underneath, you will see a QR Code. Hover your phone camera over the QR Code to log in. Gas wall furnace and evaporative cooling Two Flat screen smart TV with free to air channels and Netflix. Free fast unlimited internet via Starlink. Easy access to the Rail Trail if you enjoy walking or cycling. Books and games. Hair dryer. You’ll find everything you need for your local adventure :) Parking: We offer off street uncovered parking close to Berrimbillah Cottage. Where possible, we like to greet our guests and show them where everything is including supplying each couple with a key, and 1 fob per stay for the automated gates. If the property is unattended, we will let you know. Please note we do not allow smoking or vaping in or around the house. You are welcome to smoke or vape in the gazebo or away from the houses, however, please dispose of butts thoughtfully. Guest access Guests are welcome to walk around the property except the main house and its attached back patio. Guests are asked to take care when walking around the property as there are dips and bumps around. We also have a large dam. Other things to note We also offer one complimentary return taxi service (by your hosts) to town during your stay so you can have a lovely dinner out and enjoy a few drinks. We will drop you at your destination in Beechworth only, and can pick you up no later than 10pm. (Subject to notice and availability). Sometimes, you may want to go out and enjoy an evening meal without having to take your fur babies with you. With notice, let us know and we are happy monitor them and let them out for toileting. Also, if you wish to go out during the day and you’re wanting to leave your pet, we can arrange to let them out on a lead or in the enclosed backyard (all with notice and subject to availability). Happy to discuss further. This is a complimentary service to make your short break an enjoyable one. We also have animals - 3 poodles, 1 cat, 2 horses, and 7 pet sheep. There is a well stocked IGA store in town plus several specialty shops to browse. Beechworth is a lovely, central location and you can enjoy some gorgeous days trips to include the Gourmet regions of Milawa, King Valley, Bright, and Rutherglen.
