The route continues on the bike path where old stations and level crossing houses remind us that trains preceded bikes here! Recommended detour to La Sauve to admire the old Sauve-Majeure Abbey. Cross the ancient gates of Sauveterre-de-Guyenne, to reach the central square lined with arcades, in the heart of the ancient bastide of 1281. - 8 km from Lake Blasimon - 20 km from the Saint Emilion vineyard: This charming town is renowned for its historical heritage and its renowned vineyard listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. - 30 km from PESSAC-SUR-DORDOGNE CLUB, which offers the descent of the Dordogne by canoe or kayak to discover a world out of time, punctuated by beaches, castles and wildlife in a natural environment, as well as bike rides. - 40 km from Bordeaux: Explore the UNESCO World Heritage listed historic center, stroll along the banks of the Garonne and discover the city's rich cultural offerings. - 100 km from Bassin d'Arcachon: you will discover the sublime Dune du Pilat, the city of Arcachon and the famous oysters from local oyster farmers.
