Lake front*cedar hot tub * kayak * canoe * fire pit * outdoor shower * Tesla universal charger * grill * screened in porch * We JUST custom-built this waterfront, "Treetops Hideaway on the Water" for our retirement; you get to stay here instead of us (and we are jealous.) It has a full luxury kitchen, LG frontload w/d, king beds, original art, estate furniture, and amenities. This is a private entrance two-bed, two ensuite bath cottage with walk-in showers and Kohler soaking tub at 1800 SF. The space This 1800 SF cottage was built with the help of one of Arkansas' best residential architects, Scott Smith, and styled in part by Master Chef finalist and influencer, Jennifer Maune. It has original art and estate pieces throughout. The primary suite consists of a KING bed and private screened-in waterfront porch with a cedar hot tub (water view). It has a sleeping noisemaker, overhead fan, bedside sconces, walk-in closet, private bathroom with walk-in tiled shower and Kohler freestanding soaker tub (the water is stunning Hot Springs water - the best on the planet.) There is a 55 inch Roku t.v. The secondary suite consists of a KING bed with en-suite bathroom with walk-in tiled shower. It has a 43 inch Roku t.v., sleeping noisemaker, overhead fan, and reading chair. The kitchen is stocked with the necessary cooking utensils and service wear to serve a full meal with an estate dining table and chairs for 8. The oven has convection and air fryer settings; the refrigerator has an ice maker (that creates spring water ice). Also included is a microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee (for both keurig and drip), teapot, and accoutrements for proper tea. There is an outdoor grill. The living area is open with the kitchen and dining. We most enjoy the "reading triangle" that overlooks the water. There is a 65 inch Roku t.v., family friendly games, loads of books, a pack-and-play for the little ones, and yoga mat. You have a private outdoor waterfront deck off of the living area. This deck leads to the Lake Catherine waterfront property which is shared. You will have access to shared: parking, a Tesla Universal electric vehicle charger, a grill, a picnic table, the firepit, an outdoor shower, handmade adirondacks, and lake level porch swings. You also share the use of a free kayak and free canoe (lifejackets are not provided). We provide an iron, ironing board, clothing steamer, hair dryer, umbrellas, and a pack-and-play. There is a full-sized LG front loading washer and dryer in the separate laundry room. Security cameras are outdoor, road-facing only. This cottage has a few steps into the home, but once in the structure, there are no additional steps. It has a generator (in case of emergencies) and wi-fi. This home is both a peaceful retreat and close to the tourist sites. There is very little light and the natural noise is only sounds of foxes and deer. There are excellent restaurants and activities nearby; most are within a 10-15 minute drive. Hot Springs National Park is 4 minutes away. Lake Catherine - 0 minutes; Oaklawn Horse Racing and Casino - 13 minutes; Bath House Row - 15 minutes; Garvan Woodland Gardens - 15 minutes; Lake Hamilton - 14 minutes; Clinton National Airport - 50 minutes. To get a good idea of location, look up the distance from "Mr. Whisker's" restaurant. Things you may not like: (1) there are two units on this property and you might share the outdoor activities if both are booked; (2) like most Hot Springs lake front properties, you must drive through a less developed area to arrive here. (Don't let this drive fool you - my mother-in-law lives 2 doors down and leaves all her valuables outside - they've never been touched.) (3) The water is lower between mid-October and mid-March. In winter 2026, the water is lowered MORE than normal allegedly due to some repairs elsewhere on the lake. We occasionally work in the yard (mowing, cleaning brush, washing exterior windows, etc.) for necessary general upkeep of the property. Thanks for your understanding if we, or a maintenance person, pop by the yard while you are there. Regarding the hot tub, Hot Tub Bob typically does upkeep on Sundays- if you stay Saturday night he may knock on the door and ask for entrance. Of course, you can decline if you choose. Guest access This blue-door cottage is the larger of two units on the property. (We built this cottage to live in during retirement and the separate guesthouse to put an elderly parent.) When you rent the cottage only, you have exclusive use of the 1800 SF main house, including a waterfront deck and screened-in porch. You will SHARE with the guesthouse the following: canoe, kayak, fire pit, outdoor grill, picnic table, parking, Tesla Universal charger, outdoor shower, and lake level porch swings.
