The village by the city: Welcome to our home in the typical Austrian country house style in the picturesque Elsbethen/Salzburg South. - On foot: 5 min to bus 160 (Elsbethen Gemeindezentrum stop), or in 10 minutes to the train stop (S3 train, Elsbethen station), or in 15 minutes by bike to the city - Outdoor activities: hiking, fitness trail, adventure playground, ropes course, zoo, forest bathing, golf, bike rental, winter sports... - Bakery, supermarket, inns right in the village The space The apartment is on the 2nd floor (attic floor) of a well-maintained private house. The landlady/homeowner lives on the floor directly below (= 1st floor). The house is located directly on Halleiner Landesstraße. For noise-sensitive people, who like to sleep with the windows open, this could be perceived as disturbing. The apartment has state-of-the-art noise protection windows and several fans. Due to the central location, a vacation using public transportation is easy to organize. Bus line 160 (possibly also line 165) (get off at the Elsbethen Gemeindezentrum stop) or the local train line S3 (Elsbethen local train stop) will take you to the city of Salzburg in just a few minutes. If you are arriving with A LOT OF LUGGAGE, we strongly recommend taking bus 160 (only a 5-minute walk to the property). “Salzburger Land introduced the public transport guest ticket on May 1, 2025. Please supervise your children in the garden very carefully (small garden pond, garden tools, lawn mowing robot...). Other things to note Guests with children are very welcome! However, the apartment is not explicitly childproof: for example, the cleaning products are accessible. The traditional wooden staircase is steeper than your children may be used to. There is a robotic lawnmower and an unsecured small pond in the garden. Garden equipment and tools are accessible. Careful supervision of the children by their companions is necessary. On request, I will be happy to prepare various things to make our little guests feel comfortable: Baby crib, changing mat, highchair, stroller, children's dishes, toys... The apartment is located on the west side of the house with beautiful evening sun and an unobstructed mountain view (Untersberg, Watzmann, Staufen...) from your private panoramic balcony. The house is located on the state road. This street is a local access road to the city of Salzburg (speed limit 50 km, no stop-and-go traffic as there are no traffic lights). The apartment has very modern noise protection windows. When these are closed, you won't hear the street.
