Description

Fresh clean mountain air. Get away to the quiet beauty of your wooded cabin tucked away in our private woods. Enjoy amazing hiking right out your door, a campfire and stunning mountain views. Spend an amazing night with millions of stars overhead. Recharge your soul in mountain peace. A rare opportunity to stay tucked in private woods and steps from 1000s of acres of national forest. Featuring dual heaters, sleeping loft, outdoor cooking area, and indoor camp toilet. Luxury glamping. The space Enjoy a true Rocky mountain wilderness experience in the comfort of our eco friendly off grid artist's cabin. The Lost Creek Cabin Studio is located on a private 12 acre estate backing to national forest. This studio offers an amazing and unforgettable Rocky mountain nature experience. (With current health concerns in the world, we are renting either this Artist's Cabin or the Hawks Nest cabin for any given night (unless related groups are renting both). This insures a private no contact experience for those wishing to truly get away from everyone and everything.) Sit in your private outdoor cooking and dining area while you enjoy the views and abundant wildlife. We have seen deer, fox, bear, moose and cougar on and around the property. Pets are welcome, but must be on leash for their own safety. (There is a $20/night/pet fee.) We are animal lovers and have a dog of our own living on the property. Enjoy the plush queen bed with down comforter in the sleeping loft which is accessed from a loft staircase (steeper than a regular staircase). From the loft windows, you can sometimes view wildlife right by the studio without them even knowing you are there. There is a chemical camp toilet in the studio in a separate room, and we offer an outdoor camp shower experience. We provide potable water each day as there is not running water at our glamping cabin. There is also a wonderful public swimming pool and shower facilities a few minutes drive from the cabin. Stay cozy warm inside with our beautiful electric fireplace. Installed for the cooler fall weather, the fireplace will keep you comfy while you look out the French doors at the Rocky Mountains and feel like you're outside. (For cold weather, there is also a second heater which keeps it toasty inside.). The studio comes complete with pots and pans, coffee mugs, wine glasses, and cooking utensils. We provide a 3 burner camp chef expedition outdoor propane cook top for your use and provide propane. We have had guests cook gourmet meals and enjoy dining in the beauty of the outdoors. Plates, cups, and utensils are provided. Bring a cooler for your perishables. We also can put perishables in the frig at the main cabin and deliver them when you need them. There is cell phone service at the studio for most service providers. Otherwise, this is an unplugged experience. :-) The cabin offers the charm of an off grid experience with battery powered indoor lighting and solar motion sensor outdoor lighting. Our guests love building a fire in the outdoor fireplace in the mornings and evenings and living with the natural rhythms of light and temperature in the woods. We require guests to keep their fires well attended and to completely extinguish them when guests are not by the fire. There is firewood to gather on the property and we also offer firewood for sale. Wood from outside the property is not permitted as the area is beginning to see evidence of invasive insect species. Guest access There is a private road leading to the studio and parking available at the studio. There is also a short foot path through the woods from the main house to the studio. During heavy snow, a four wheel drive vehicle is necessary on the private road. You will have access to hiking on the private grounds as well as hiking in the Pike National Forest just steps from your door.
