Raglan Heritage School

Take it easy at this unique getaway. Raglan school is a cozy historic schoolhouse overlooking the school oval to the mangroves lining Raglan creek. Sit round the fire pit while saying hello to the resident animals, goats, sheep, our gelding Sav and his little brother Herbie our orphan yearling foal. You can stay inside and play a board game or sit back with a book on the screened veranda. Plenty of birds will keep you company. Take a break from tech and enjoy nature. The space Original Raglan schoolhouse offering large air conditioned space with queen size bed. PLEASE NOTE: we are just off the Bruce highway which is convenient but you may hear some noise from the highway and coal trains. We now have wifi but phone reception can be very hit and miss. The kitchenette has a microwave, Nespresso pod coffee, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery, drink ware and small fridge. The lounge/dining offers couch and dining table. A separate ensuite contains a toilet and shower. Plenty of books and games to while away the time or maybe solve some algebra problems on the huge blackboard. Front and rear veranda for breakfast or a wine overlooking the oval and beyond. Take away or eat in meals are available at the Raglan hotel a short drive away Monday to Saturday and pizza on Sunday night or Mount Larcom hotel 15min south serving lunch/dinner 7 days a week. Schoolhouse is high set with stairs to the front door. Fully fenced pet friendly garden including paved bbq area and fire pit. Guest access The Schoolhouse is self contained including private outdoor, fenced area with a paved bbq space. We can give you a tour of the rest of the property and introduction to the other furry residents can be arranged.
