Stepping into Vale ni Vula is like taking a breath of fresh air - you can finally relax and you can let go. This is why we moved to Pacific Harbour and built two houses: Vale ni Vula (means "House of the Moon" in Fijian) and Vale ni Siga (House of the Sun). One for our family, and one for yours when you visit - we wanted to share our little slice of nirvana for fun family time in endless worry-free, adventure-filled and sun-drenched days in the pool, beach, mountains or the city nearby. The space ☽𖤓 OUR ISLAND HOME Vale ni Vula is in the same gated and secure residential enclave as Vale ni Siga but is completely private in its own separate space. Connected by a shared pool, it is surrounded by its own front verandah with a barbecue set and toys for the kids. Make sure you take off your shoes and your slippers when you arrive, as the story begins when you feel the wooden deck on your bare feet while being greeted by the stunning mural which we commissioned one of our talented local artists in Pacific Harbour to create, @littlevillagegirl. Open the wide sliding doors and let your shoulders loosen up as you step inside and get a feel of the raintree furniture, mahogany wooden floors, and island-style decor set in Vale ni Vula's warm neutral colour palette accented by bright tropical hues. You will feel a sense of tranquillity as you explore the three air-conditioned bedrooms, two bathrooms, and the fully equipped laundry and modern kitchen connected to a private porch at the back where a 6-seater dining set sits overlooking the spacious backyard, giving it an alfresco vibe. Our story crescendoes at the loft where the light shines on the reading nook and the table where you might want to answer some emails in the quiet. The loft can double as the ultimate place to hang out for the family with its 65-inch TV, comfy cushions and a mattress to relax in perfect for those movie nights or game nights, or when it might be raining outside. Guest access ☽𖤓OUR GUESTS Vale ni Vula is for adventure-loving and eco-conscious couples, close friends and small families who are looking to unwind, chillax and explore while treating our island home with love, care and respect. As our guests, you will enjoy full access and exclusive use to our beautiful island home, Vale ni Vula and its amenities, with its own access to a covered garage that can park one vehicle, a private porch, verandah and backyard. Only the pool that divides Vale ni Vula and Vale ni Siga is shared. NOTE FOR FAMILIES WITH SMALL KIDS: We have baby safety gates at the pool and the loft stairs for the little ones. Also if you need a baby cot and stroller, we have a pack and play as well as a light stroller in storage which you can use at no extra cost when you stay with us. Just let us know when you book and we’ll have them ready upon your arrival. Other things to note Please kindly read our house rules before you book, for example, we do not allow parties or events at Vale ni Vula. Having family, friends and guests to visit and celebrate an occasion or enjoy the place that is beyond the maximum number of 5 for bbqs, dinners, pool access etc is perfectly fine, although only 5 are allowed to sleep over so as to maintain the integrity of the space. Vale ni Vula is meant to be a restful and peaceful place, not an event or party venue. Vale ni Vula used to allow a maximum of 6 people also, however we have since learned from our guests that it is important to consider that our island home is more compact. So although it has 3 bedrooms and a loft with beds, all of which has a double bed each while the master has a king-sized bed, the loft has very steep stairs that is not meant for very small kids and older adults who may find it difficult to go up and down. Please keep in mind the possible sleeping arrangements and the size of the spaces when you book with us. Vale ni Vula is perfect for a family of 4 with kids or maybe 2 couples or even 4 friends who do not mind sharing the beds in the 3 bedroom rooms and loft.
