Named after the plant that surrounds the Villa's garden, Calathea Villa is is your peaceful retreat in the simple fishing village of Agdangan. It is part of a one-hectare private property that has access to an 80-meter beachfront with endless stretch of sand, beautiful sunset, and a nearby mangrove area. The space As you enter the villa, enjoy the double height ceiling and high windows that bring natural light and good ventilation in the common areas. The villa's spaces are compact, stylish and can accommodate friends or families up to 8 guests. The bedrooms are comfortable, thoughtfully designed and has a view of the rice paddies outside the property. Other things to note Other Meals: Guests can bring their own food, cook in our kitchenette or order takeout from our recommended restaurants in town. The nearest wet market is in the main town of Agdangan while the biggest supermarket is located in Lucena (SM Lucena and SnR Lucena) which is 1 hour away. Equipment Use: Kayak,Stand-up Paddle and Kiddie Kayak please be mindful when using these items so that other guests can enjoy it as well. Waste Segregation: We have a waste segregation policy in place. Please sort and dispose your trash and kitchen wastes into wet, dry and recyclable materials. We also try our best to keep our beach clean. Please dispose any trash in the beach area properly. Wifi Access and Mobile Phone Signal: Starlink Wifi is available within the property. The Globe and Smart Mobile Signal however, is not always reliable. Beach: Our coast is a combination of fine sand, small stones and corals. Walking barefoot is ok but for your comfort we recommend to use aqua shoes. Sea Creatures and Insects: During your stay, you may encounter sea creatures & insects in their native habitat. We highly recommend using insect repellant as needed. Hermit crabs and Starfishes are also seen in the beach area. Please refrain from taking any creatures away from their natural habitat. The shore also has a jellyfish season (March-May) We will provide a safety net in the beach swimming area during this time but please take extra precautions when swimming in the beach.
