Please review house rules prior to booking! Enjoy our centrally located self-contained guest suite in the ground-level basement of our home. We are a short walk from downtown Dartmouth, the ferry to downtown Halifax, and Lake Banook! Get a comfortable night's rest on the queen bed, and use the Roku TV in the den to stream your apps. Our suite is equipped with a fridge, microwave, toaster oven, kettle, keurig, and french press. You will also have your own washroom, entrance, and parking spot. The space Our home is located in a family-friendly neighbourhood in the heart of Dartmouth. The basement guest suite has a separate entrance at the back of the house accessible down a few steps. The main studio space is set up with a comfortable queen bed next to a large window, with room-darkening curtains. This room also contains the kitchenette and dining area. There is a wardrobe and a dresser for your belongings. In the den, you will be able to use your streaming apps on the Roku TV. Roku also has some free entertainment for anyone without streaming subscriptions. There is Wi-Fi available throughout the suite. The 3-pc bathroom is located at the back of the suite. Please note that the shower stall is small at 32x32 inches. All basics are provided during your stay including bedding, towels, a few toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, and soap), hairdryer, dishes and cutlery. We also offer complimentary k-cup coffee and tea! We are a couple with a cat and a dog living on the upper two levels of the home. While we are mindful of noise, you may hear us engaging in daily household activities. At times, we may bring our dog, Bailey, to use the backyard (where the guest entrance is), however, please let us know if you are uncomfortable with this. Otherwise, she is extremely friendly and would love to greet you if you are comfortable! Also of note, the home is centrally cooled/heated and guests do not have access to the thermostat. There is a standing fan, space heater, and dehumidifier available for guest use. House Rules: - Registered guests only - no additional guests or visitors without prior approval - No parties or events - No smoking or vaping indoors (outside smoking is permitted) - Quiet hours from 10pm to 7am Violations of the house rules may result in immediate cancellation without refund. Guest access You will have access to the entire guest suite, except for a storage room attached to the den that we keep locked. Other things to note No cleaning fees! - Please tidy up after yourselves so we can continue to offer competitive pricing without any cleaning fees! Pet policy: - We allow one dog during a guest stay, however, they must be listed on the reservation at booking - Please do NOT leave your dog unattended - Your dog must be housebroken - Please use only pet towels and blankets for your dog - Please leash your dog when outside of the guest suite - Please tidy up after your dog including picking up waste from the backyard - Please note the area rug in the den will be removed for pet stays - Guests are responsible for paying all damages and additional cleaning fees Please reach out if you have any questions or concerns!
