A charming traditional stone fishermen's house, located in a hamlet of the village of Château d'Oléron. Quiet space. (Alley in front of the house) Enjoy a warm and friendly atmosphere in this place where every detail has been carefully thought out to make your stay as pleasant as possible. This house was completely renovated with taste in 2023. The space About the house: "The house "La Chevalerie" provides a small exotic wooden terrace, perfectly exposed and without facing anyone, on which you can have lunch and dinner. In addition, a barbecue is available for gourmet moments with family or friends. Only 5 minutes by bike from the bike path that will take you to the center of the castle in 10 minutes. (There are many bike rentals on the island) A bakery is about a 5-minute bike ride away. Super U supermarket is about 6 minutes by car. (10 minutes by bike) Grand Village Beach is a 12-minute bike ride & 5-minute drive away. A convenient location to enjoy local attractions! The town is culturally rich with its artists' huts, the citadel that hosts many exhibitions and festive events, the daily market etc... House sleeps 6: It consists of: a large living room (board games, TV, books...), pellet stove, independent kitchen, (fridge, oven, induction hob, hood, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machines: Tassimo & coffee maker filters, kettle, toaster, cookbooks), small hallway/cloakroom serving a shower room (vanity unit, walk-in shower, washing machine, & hairdryer) & separate toilet. Please note there is no room on the ground floor. Upstairs you will find two beautiful bedrooms: Bedroom 1: a double bed of 160 cm x 190 cm & a pair of bunk beds (90 cm x 190 cm), a wooden rack & a child's chair. New bedding. Bedroom 2: a double bed of 160 cm x 190 cm (new bedding) & a scalable bed (for a child), shelf & suitcase holder. Sheets and towels are not included in the rental price, but it is quite possible to rent them for an additional €25/person. Please request at the time of booking. Guest access The house will be entirely yours, you will have a space in front of the house for your vehicle. Warning: slightly delicate maneuver to park in front of the house (private parking) & as well as to exit the hamlet. However, other parking options are possible on an adjacent street. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by Suzie who will be responsible for giving you the keys. (In case of late arrival, a key box will be available) Other things to note Other things to note The accommodation is non-smoking, and no pets are allowed. The property must be returned clean, in the condition you find it when you arrive. To continue to ensure the quality of the accommodation, we ask guests to take the utmost care during their stay: ✘ Parties are not allowed. ✘ Exclusive use of the house for guests who have booked. ✘ The house must be returned in order, the dishes washed and put back in their place. ✘ No connection possible for an electric vehicle. While it is possible to accommodate 7 people thanks to the scalable bed, the house is ideally calibrated for 6 occupants (tables, chairs, etc.). The security deposit is €150.
