The Little Hideaway Annex - The perfect location for exploring the Roman Spa City of Bath, Castle Coombe, Corsham, Lacock and the Cotswolds. The space The Little Hideaway is a lovely brand-new self-contained accommodation. A good-sized space with everything you will need for a home from home stay. Noticeably quiet location with free parking on premises. Comfortable king-sized bed or two twin singles, living room/kitchen with sofa, breakfast bar and well-equipped kitchen area with oven, ceramic hob, fridge with freezer compartment, 44” Smart TV, Wi-Fi and outside seating area. Excellent access to Bath with buses from the village every 30 minutes or just a 15-minute drive by car. The nearest train station is only 6 miles away in the nearby town of Chippenham. There are two fabulous restaurants very nearby, both owned by Marco Pierre White, the renowned Michelin star celebrity chef. The Rudloe Arms is 1 mile away and has stunning views of the Box Valley towards Bath, and The Pear Tree Inn in Whitney is set in a 17th century farmhouse. There is also one other rural country pub within walking distance, where you can find a relaxed atmosphere and great food. If getting out for some fresh air and a good walk is on your agenda there are plenty of peaceful, glorious, undulating countryside walks to choose from. This will show you rural England at its best with a vast variety from long distance treks to afternoon strolls. Unfortunately, if you are thinking of bring your furry friends, they are not permitted in the Airbnb. Sorry! Places of interest nearby include Castle combe which is well known for its race circuit and being one of the prettiest villages in England. The picturesque village is set in the rolling Cotswold hills with its buildings made with typical Cotswold stone. Steven Spielberg filmed Warhorse here. Lacock is home to the wonderful Lacock abbey and a gorgeous stretch of River to walk along. Almost the entire village is owned by the National Trust which means all its period details are preserved and its streets are protected from the disfiguring changes of the modern world. William Henry Fox Talbot was a Victorian pioneer of photography and lived in the 18th century gothic stately home. The museum here tells the story of his photography and displays his work. The abbey, once used as a nunnery, has several imposing vaulted rooms and highlights attractive gardens and parkland. Corsham is a quintessentially English historic town with beautiful bath stone buildings and an array of interesting independent shops. The town is home to slightly exotic, flamboyant, and loud peacocks who roam around the town and high street. They can often be caught admiring themselves in the shop windows. Here you can explore the Grade 1 listed country house called Corsham Court. The vibrant city of bath is a unique destination brimming with things to do. The ancient Baths have been a wellbeing destination since roman times. The Modern thermae bath spa houses the only natural thermal hot springs in Britain which you can bath in. The city is overflowing with places to eat and drink, plus some of the finest independent shops in Britain. Bath has a remarkable collection of museums and galleries to immerse yourself in. The stunning Georgian architecture is home to the iconic Royal Crescent and the majestic Circus. Guest access Please park either anywhere on the gravelled area or directly in front of the annex as long as you are not blocking my car in. Other things to note In the annex will be tea, coffee, powdered milk, sugar, salt, pepper, cooking oil, washing up liquid, hand soap, and toilet rolls. Other things included are bath towels, hand towels, flannels, tea towel, dishcloths and sponge. Please note we are not currently able to accommodate infants or children up to the age of 5 years.
