Birch Bothy is part of 12 Cairngorm Bothies set in idyllic Royal Deeside, full of country walks, historic sites and charming villages. Perfect for a family holiday, short break or romantic eco-friendly getaway. Each bothy comes with full linen for your stay, heating and cooking facilities are from the wood burning range. A supply of free logs awaits your off grid stay. Outside you will find outdoor seating and a purpose-built disposable BBQ stand allowing you to enjoy the outdoors. The space Escape to the Cairngorms National Park and relax in nature in our handcrafted, off-grid bothies nestled in the heart of an ancient Scots Pine Forest. Each pet-friendly, cosy, eco-friendly space sleeps ideally two and includes a comfy 🛌double bed, 🪵wood-burning stove, 🍳 kitchenette, and en-suite 🚿 shower room. Birch has a 🛋️ sofa bed that would sleep a further family member or friend. You’ll enjoy peace, privacy, and a true digital detox with no Wi-Fi. (If you have a 📱mobile phone you will still receive 4G signal 😉) Perfect for couples or solo adventurers looking to relax, unwind, and reconnect with the natural world in the Scottish Highlands. The 12 Bothies are situated near the Royal Deeside villages of Ballater, Aboyne, Tarland and Braemar. An area rich in stunning scenery and plenty of outdoor adventures such as 🎣 Fishing 🏇🏻 Horse riding 🚵🏻♀️ Mountain biking ⛳️ Golf It works as a great tranquil base for exploring the surrounding Aberdeenshire area that is rich in culture and history. 🏰 Castle Trails 🗿 Stone Circles 🏛️ Visitor Attractions 🌊 Coastal Villages & Museums. Guest access Your Bothy is for your exclusive use. Please note that you will need to arrive with your own 🚗 Car, 🚲 Bike or 🏍️ MotorBike. Please note that the nearest electric car charging points are in the villages of Tarland and Ballater. Other things to note As you are off grid in our peaceful forest setting you are welcome to bring well behaved dogs 🐾 and would ask that you keep your dogs on a lead whilst enjoying our woodland trails. We are very close to the award winning Tarland Trails and our Local dog friendly pub - The Airedale is a 20 min walk to Logie Coldstone. Please note that before arriving to your bothy you may wish to do your 🍳 🛍️ food shop in the neighbouring villages of Banchory, Aboyne and Ballater. Included in your Bothy is a FREE supply to logs for the stove along with kindling, fire lighters and matches. We are often asked if our private water supply is drinkable and the answer is yes 😀
