Situated in the quiet village of Wensley is The Dutch Barn which probably boasts the best views across the dale towards Riber Castle in the Peak District National Park, walks from the doorstep too. It is a spacious but cosy, bright, open plan building which sleeps 2 and has a modern bathroom. It is situated near Matlock and just 7 miles from the lovely town of Bakewell and the famous Chatsworth house. It offers a tranquil stay with secure off road parking and garage facilities too. The space As you enter the barn up a flight of stairs you are immediately in the light, open plan home. The first third of the barn is the sitting and eating area. You then have a galley kitchen, small but fully equipped. Behind that is a double bed with side tables and to the rear a modern shower room with toilet and basin. Also a dressing room with wardrobe and space to store suitcases. All bed linen and towels are provided. A welcome basket including free range eggs (when the hens are willing ) and a local Bakewell pudding /tart is provided. Guest access Feel free to park alongside the Dutch Barn. There is also secure parking underneath the barn for one family sized car. The lawned area around the barn is for your use, enjoy the sun in the South facing garden. Other things to note We aren’t a working farm but do have a few pets ! Namely 3 horses, 3 dogs and a few chickens all of which you will probably see from a distance during your stay.
