Located overlooking Dorchester’s beautiful, tranquil Borough Gardens, this very spacious two bedroom flat provides the perfect place to enjoy a break in splendid Dorset’s historic county town. The property is only a two minute walk from the main high street of the town with its shops, museums and historic buildings. It is also within easy, level walking distance to the two train stations and many bus routes. A free parking space included allows guests to visit all areas of the county with ease. The space The property offered is a large 2 bedroom apartment on the top floor of a three storey, ornate, late Victorian house, which was built alongside similar houses and villas to enhance the outer fringes of the local park. The accommodation has a considerable floor space of eight hundred square feet providing plenty of room to spread out. All the rooms are located off a central hall, brightly lit by a large skylight which has a blind fitted for light early Mornings and hotter summer days. There are two large bedrooms. The first complete with a king size bed, dressing table, sofa, wardrobe and chest of drawers. The second is laid out with twin beds and all the furniture required for a comfortable and relaxed stay. There is a spacious lounge, having an arched window with leafy views out over the Borough Gardens. Furnishings comprise a TV with Freeview and Netflix, reclining 3 seater leather sofa, and reclining armchair, reading lamp, coffee table and book case with many books, some of local interest, and games for those relaxing days. Adjacent to the lounge is a comfortable dining area comprising a large dining table with 4 chairs. A sideboard contains all the equipment you may need for in-house dining. The kitchen has recently been refitted to a high standard and includes a new slimline dishwasher, microwave oven and compact fridge/freezer. There is a new, full size electric cooker with induction hob and washer/dryer. We have also provided a Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine and pods for our guests to enjoy. We hope that those who stay with us will find the kitchen adequately equipped to allow the preparation of all their favourite dishes. The bathroom is bright, clean and compact. It includes a shower over a full size bath, a spacious sink over a vanity unit, toilet and a storage unit for your nick-nacks. Guest access Once parked it is only a short walk (basically the length of the property’s rear garden) down the public foot path to the entrance, which is via a large front door. One of the hosts will meet you on arrival or you will receive the location and entry details to a small key safe that will provide you with keys to enter the house and to give you access to the flat. Other things to note The property is only a 5 minute walk from Dorset County Hospital, perfect for those working in, or visiting patients in the hospital. As well as the on-site, off-road parking space provided with the accommodation, another parking space in the same area can be made available if required for a small charge. A garage can also be rented adjacent to the parking spaces for those travelling on motorbikes or bringing large outdoor sporting equipment like mountain bikes or kayaks. Being at the top of the house some areas of the rooms are attractively located in the eaves. However, the rooms are spacious so this will not impact on your comfort. Free (fibre) Wi-Fi is provided for the responsible use of the guests. Written information about gaining access to the Wi-Fi will be found once the guests have entered the flat. The accommodation is supplied for the sole use of the paying guests only, so other visitors to the property are not allowed. After a booking is confirmed we request that we are provided with the names and ages of all the guests on the booking. This can be done either by the messaging system or on the Airbnb website and is for insurance and fire safety reasons. Due to others living in the house and having neighbours, excess noise is discouraged after 11pm.
