Quiet eco-house in South Downs National Park
Description
A peaceful open-plan eco- house in the village of Rodmell - well known for the writer Virginia Woolf. Please note: We have a cat (called Angel) and you will need to feed and water her during your stay It's 8 minutes drive from the historic town of Lewes, 10 minutes drive to the sea and great for walks on the South Downs way. You can also get to Brighton in 20 minutes. With a magnificent view of the downs, a garden and a great social patio space with no-one overlooking you. The space This bungalow was built in the 1970s and features a stunning view of the South Downs. It has an unusual curved wall in the living area as well as a double-height roof. It has a very large living space with a slightly bohemian vibe - lots of wood floors and furniture and textile wall-hangings. We did a full eco-retrofit in 2014 installing solar panels, air source heat pump, exterior wall insulation and improved double glazing. Please note our cat Angel comes with the house and will need feeding during your stay. Guest access We are renting the entire house out to guests Other things to note IMPORTANT: our cat Angel will be living with you during your stay (she photos). She is a very sweet natured cat - full instructions for her upkeep are in the house manual. It should not need saying - but this house is not suitable for people with cat allergies!
