Cosy Coastal Shepherd's Hut near Veryan, Cornwall

Discover the gorgeous landscape that surrounds this tranquil place. We are on the unspoilt Roseland Peninsula, surrounded by fields and with sea views across to dramatic Dodman Point, the highest headland on the south coast of Cornwall. Ideal for walkers, we are less than a mile from the South West Coast Path. Although very rural, we are within walking distance of two pubs, the New Inn at Veryan and The Ship at Portloe. The village shop & post office are at Veryan for your added convenience. The space Our Shepherd's Hut is comfy to stay in during any season of the year along with it's warm & bright private shower room being only a few metres walk away. Plenty of space outside in our wild flower meadow garden with far reaching views of the countryside, craggy coastline and the sea. Peaceful and refreshing to the senses in equal measure. Guest access The SHEPHERD's HUT is accessed* from our home's shared gravel access driveway where a single parking space is provided for guests. Passing through a timber pedestrian gate, up one step, across our gravel driveway, through another timber pedestrian gate along a short level paved pathway/stepping stones and then by ascending three large timber steps with a handrail to the Hut's front Stable door. *(Approx. an 24 metre level walk approx.). The property keys are accessed via a Key Safe found to the right of the door and by unlocking the stable-type door UPPER security lock. The BESPOKE, PRIVATE SHOWER ROOM is accessed* from the gravel & paved path to your right at the bottom of the Shepherd Hut's wooden access steps (above), along the rear elevation of our cottage. *(Approx. an 18 meter level walk). It has its own key, lockable exterior double glazed door and black out/privacy blind & privacy glazed double glazed window. It is equipped with a dual flush- type W.C., Washbasin with Hot & cold water with storage cupboard beneath, shower cubicle, central heating powered heated chrome towel rail and several clothes hooks on the wall. We are proud to be a historic South West Coast Path Association WAY MAKER & you will find us listed as approved accommodation for walkers accordingly by them🙂👌 Other things to note Access & egress to the Shepherd's Hut from the parking space on our driveway is illuminated automatically during the hours of darkness. Likewise, the access & egress to the Private Shower Room is illuminated automatically during the hours of darkness also. N.B.(Due to their natural finishes both the stone paved paths/stepping stones and timber steps should be negotiated with care, especially during wet weather at both day and night)
