Sweet Nothings Retreat - Relaxed smallholding.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil rural getaway. Make friends with our animals - dogs, cats, donkeys, ducks and chickens, and relax in our honest and cosy accommodation with it's own private garden. Set in a small hamlet, surrounded by valleys, woods and vineyards, Sweet Nothings is a working smallholding owned by artist and nature lover Natalie and her husband Lawrence. Guests enjoy homemade soap, jams and eggs gathered from the garden. Natalie also offers art workshops on request. The space The accommodation sleeps 6. There is a ground floor double room and 2 upstairs adjoining rooms which can make up a family suite. All rooms are en suite including shower or bath, basin and toilet. The farmhouse has rustic charm and is very welcoming with a warm family atmosphere. There is a small but well equipped kitchen with a dining and lounge area. You will notice that many soft furnishings are hand made by the host using natural plant dyes and eco prints. We can provide breakfast and barbecue baskets on request which include locally sourced and home grown food for your enjoyment. Guest access Guests have use of a private garden and under supervision can meet the animals. There is free parking on site. Our neighbouring villages have excellent restaurants and shops. We have bicycles which can be borrowed by guests on request as there are some lovely local cycle routes. Other things to note We are also a table d'hote and as such are able to provide cooked evening meals on request for our guests. If you wish to treat yourself to an evening of no cooking, be sure to let me know at least 24 hours before. We aim to be as planet friendly as possible. Your welcome pack includes hand made natural products. We also run Eco friendly art and craft retreats for up to 6 people.
