Description

Ever wanted to stay in a church? Now you can! Historic St Andrew's Church built in 1883, was converted in 1980 into a theatre, becoming amongst other things, the home of the Deloraine Dramatic Society. Now a private residence, I'd love to share the experience with you. I am sure you will love this uniquely beautiful and atmospheric place. The space Lovers of music, dance and yoga will LOVE the main space. I've left it uncluttered so it's a multipurpose space, limited only by your imagination. There's a Wi-Fi speaker to add to the atmosphere and lovely light filling what was the church in days gone by. Vaulted ceilings of Baltic pine are complemented by Tasmanian oak floors. The massive and fully kitted out kitchen is a cooks delight. There's a "revolving pantry" stuffed full of goodies, which means use whatever you need and leave whatever you don't. The brand new dishwasher, fridge, coffee machine, food processor, blender and mixer are all easy to use. Let me know what's missing (or runs out) to help me improve the experience for the next guests. Handcrafted Tasmanian pottery, Royal Doulton, Noritake, crystal glasses, silver cutlery, sharp knives.....I offer you what I myself like to utilise. I love to cook so enjoy! The guest bedroom has a superb Tasmanian made AH Beard KING sized bed plus gorgeous linen and Sheridan pillows. It can be split into 2 long singles upon request. So 1 King bed OR 2 singles. There are electric blankets if needed and a pair of plush bathrobes too. Worried about warmth? Don't be. There are TWO fireplaces and TWO extra large heat pumps (reverse cycle air-conditioners). There is a vent in the bathroom to pull heat from the lounge, plus a small fan heater in the cupboard for additional warmth on really cold mornings. You'll fall in love with the ever changing seasonal garden and the conservatory is a beautiful, relaxing place to be. After a long day of sightseeing this is a truly zen space, with a water feature, comfortable day bed and natural light and warmth. The bath is simply divine and the shower water pressure is fantastic too. I recommend you pop some candles on, add some salts, grab a book, and lose yourself for an hour or so. It's a religious experience! I'm offering St Andrew's to travellers looking for unique stays and it's still a work in progress. Watch this space..... Guest access You can access the whole house except for 1 locked room. There's plenty of room to park off the street. Other things to note I love being a Super Host! St Andrews Church is my very personal, magical, dream home. It's not quite the way I'd like it - yet. I'll keep adding and improving and creating a fantastic place I can share. In the meantime, as I'm often away working and travelling, I'm opening it for short bookings, and have priced it accordingly. Please contact me for longer stays though and I'll see what I can do. Need a car or motorhome? Let me know. Registration Details Exempt: This listing falls under the 'home sharing' exemption
