Watch the modern world unfold beneath you as you sip your morning coffee overlooking Historic Main Street, in Council Grove, Kansas. Behind the original 1884 10-foot-tall glass windows you'll have a front row seat to all the downtown attractions. Be drawn back to a slower time as you sit in the second-story, two bedroom suite and plan your day-trip adventures. Designed to honor the first female Chief of the Kaw Nation, Chief Lucy, this room is situated just steps from main historic sites. The space This suite is located in the Historic District of Council Grove. It is situated on the second story (no handicap access) of the 1863-1872 building. The public hallway also gives access to our second Airbnb Suite- The Doña Tules Suite and our Bridal Suites. A shared public terrace is available at the back of the building. We have renovated the space to preserve most of the historic details such as original tin ceilings and hardwood floors. The 1800's doors and windows maintain their natural transoms and hardware. That being said, this building is beautiful but old and noise travels easily. Please be aware you may be sharing public space and mindful of your volume. Lastly, the suites are directly above The Territory Ballroom business and wedding venue. Our hours of operation are 11:00 am- 11:00 pm during the weekends. We respect your privacy and your rest, and will do our best to accommodate your needs if there is an event overlapping your stay! Guest access You will have full access to the suite, public hallway and public terrace. The bridal suite and adjacent Airbnb suite are not included in your rental.
