Description

The larger part of this detached house is where you will stay. There is a small ground floor flat in the building which has no access to the main house. We are well located for touring around West Cornwall being only a short drive to Marazion, Penzance, St Just, St Ives, and Land's End. Marazion, and the beach which stretches pretty much all the way to Penzance, is within easy walking distance of the house. Sorry, no smoking, no pets, no parties. The space Our decor is traditional and homely and there is plenty of space for you to relax and enjoy your stay. Upstairs, we sleep a maximum of four guests in two good sized bedrooms, the larger of which is en suite. The two bathrooms have towel radiators, walk in showers and are fully tiled. We also advertise the house as a three bedroom property for a maximum of six people on a separate listing and we lock off the third bedroom if booked through this listing. There is a further room upstairs which we currently use for linen storage - during your stay, it will be locked with no guest access. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped for your cooking needs. To get you started, we provide basic condiments together with a small supply of tea bags, sugar, ground coffee, and a few coffee pods for the Tassimo coffee machine. Leading off the kitchen, there is a separate toilet as well as a utility room with a sink and washing machine. Your roomy living area has two large sofas and an armchair where you can sit and relax with a book from our selection, watch a DVD on the 43" smart TV or play one of our board games. The dining table is on one side of the living area. Should you need to work while you are away, there is a small desk and chair in one corner. Adjoining the living area is a large conservatory with sofa and second smaller dining table while outside on the patio there is a bbq plus a further table and chairs for al fresco dining. There is full central heating together with plug in radiators should you return home chilly after a busy day exploring. To give our guests peace of mind we have hard wired smoke alarms in each bedroom and on the upstairs landing as well as downstairs plus two carbon monoxide detectors downstairs. Smoke alarms are tested prior to each new set of guests. The gas hob and boiler is serviced annually - safety report may be found in the information booklet and all electrical equipment is PAT tested annually and stickered. There is a large lawned area for your use directly in front of the conservatory - the rest of the garden to the left of this area is Private. We have parking for two cars on the gravel in front of the conservatory and patio - please park considerately and do not park on the concrete path or paving slabs. Guest access Being situated on the A30 means you can reach most towns with ease. There is good regular bus service to St Ives and Truro with a request stop at the top of the drive. Heading into Long Rock, you can catch a bus to Helston or Falmouth. St Erth railway station offers park and ride into St Ives - the scenic coastal journey is something everyone should experience at least once, especially during the busier summer months when a parking space is hard to find. Other things to note Smoking, the use of vaping materials, e-cigarettes, HEETS, candles and naked flames is not permitted in any part of the house or conservatory. Charging of electric vehicles and scooters batteries is not permitted. Pets are not permitted in the house or garden - this includes pets belonging to family or friends who may visit you during your stay. We request that you do not apply hair dye, self tanning products or use glitter during your stay. Externally, we have private domestic CCTV cameras which are triggered by motion to record; all recordings are retained for a maximum of 30 days and will not be publicly uploaded or streamed. One camera is a ring doorbell on the conservatory door while the other is high up on the front wall over the gravel area. To disable or obscure the security camera is prohibited and doing so could result in the cancellation of your reservation. If you stay over Christmas or New Year please note that we do not put up Christmas decorations. Before booking, we recommend that you check out the aerial photograph in the photos section to show you our exact location. Airbnb have had difficulty in showing our exact location and instead incorrectly placed us on Varfell Lane.
