Boasting a cozy electric fireplace, smart tv add on for you to connect to your favourite personal streaming device accounts, and games and books for a rainy day. Bring your food, outdoor toys and sense of adventure! The space Take it easy at this unique and off the beaten path bachelor apartment! Our cozy space offers a Simmons double bed, full 4 piece bath equipped with extra deep tub for your relaxation, and complete kitchen boasting a roomy sink (screw those apartment size sinks you can’t even clean in) and full size appliances, including a fridge with an inverter so you can sleep peacefully! Fully furnished means fully furnished- bedding, linens, towels, and a stocked-with-the-basics starter pack, including keurig and pods for your caffeine needs, toilet paper and paper towel. We have chickens and a rooster in the back barn. They don’t always like to come out to play, but if you’re new to chickens and curious to take a look feel free to ask us! If you’re looking for a quiet area that has opportunity knocking for adventure at every arena, the Homestead Hideaway is the place for you! We are located just minutes away from an abundance of crown land and many lakes are around the corner at different intervals! Hunting? Fishing? Hiking? Sledding? Beach goer? We even have space for your trailer if you’re bringing the toys along! (just make sure you chat with us about this first). Looking for a longer stay for work or in between house sales? Guest access Please note we do live on the property. Our house is on the other side of the garage. This is your own apartment, located on the far side of the garage. The apartment does not share any walls with our house to ensure full privacy in your space. Please note our backyard is in part at the rear of the unit- if you have the windows open you may hear us living life from time to time. You have your own dedicated parking space. If you plan to bring a trailer for your toys, please let us know so we can ensure additional parking is cleared! Other things to note Please note: There are a few things about our property that we want you to know to ensure you are making an informed decision and don’t have any unpleasant surprises upon your arrival. Forget something? Took an impromptu trip or get stuck another night away unplanned for work? Check the middle drawer in the bathroom vanity. Don’t see what you need? Shoot us a message. We can let you know if we have what you are looking for! If you prefer your own choices there are 2 pharmacies available during business hours in Powassan. Accessibility- The unit does involve a few steps. Pets- We have 2 dogs in the home. If you are highly allergic to or are afraid of dogs, our apartment unfortunately is not a good fit for you. Though we do our best to keep the apartment as sanitized as possible, if you are a dog owner, you know how challenging it can be to have absolutely no fibres transfer. Additionally, you are likey going to hear the dogs bark at some point while we exercise them outside- if this would make your stay less than enjoyable, again, our apartment may not be the best fit. Additionally we have chickens that occupy the barn (back left of property; your unit is front right). As a result we are unable to facilitate you bringing your furry friends at this time. *Please note for service animals or if this rule is broken you will be charged for a professional deep clean. Mother Nature: Please be aware as this apartment is located in the country you are likely to come across animals of all shapes and sizes. This may include but is not limited to spiders, raccoons, skunks, fox, deer, bear and moose. We ask that you take caution while driving (especially in the dark) and if you see a wild animal do not approach. Additionally, we live in an area heavily populated by the Amish. If you come across a horse and buggy or children on the road please drive cautiously, slow down and move over. Additionally Airbnb has taken it upon itself to add special categories, such as pool and beach, that are misleading. We have tried several times to have it removed with no luck. Please note we are still working on having these removed. We do have a pool for our family use ONLY. We are also located a short drive to a beach however it is not within walking distance. The space that guests can access is viewable in the posted photos. Outdoor guest space is specifically restricted to your deck. Guests are absolutely not permitted to use any other space on our property without express written consent, including our grass area, fire pit, pool and so on. Please do not walk through our property- we respect your privacy and ask the same in return.
