Welcome to the Farmstead. Our 2500 square foot ranch style house has 4 bedrooms, 2 ½ baths, two living rooms and two kitchens. There are two decks and a patio area and a large combo gas/charcoal grill. We are located just east of Hill City with easy access to many of the Black Hills National Forest attractions such as Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, the 1880 Train, Custer State Park and the Mickelson Trail. This central location allows easy access to everything the Black Hills has to offer. The entire house and apartment sleep 9. The house has three bedrooms and the attached “mother in law” apartment has one bedroom. Each have their own kitchen, bath and living rooms. A single door separates each area. This allows guests the flexibility to share the house but have their own space if needed. Thanks Access is from two entrances, one to the house and another to the apartment. There is also a door that separates the main house and apartment. No keys. Each entry door has programmable locks. We enter a four digit code before arrival and send them to our guests along with directions. This allows for easy access and checkout. Thanks. We prefer to meet our guests as they arrive to show them the house and apartment, give recommendations on sites to see and restaurants, working the remote, etc. We send guests entry instructions and directions before arrival. If guests prefer, we can arrange a meeting time later or not at all, depending on your arrival time and wishes. There are maps, pamphlets and brochures available of local attractions and at the rental. If guests know places they may possibly be visiting, please let us know and we can provide pamphlets/brochures. We also provide information on best restaurants based on our experiences. Our goal is to make your vacation stay the best possible by providing information on our experiences. Thanks. The Farmstead is located on three acres with plenty of parking and room to roam about. There is a hill side in the back if the kids (or adults) wish to venture out on a hike. It is located on Highway 385 with three wineries and three breweries located within a mile. Other Black Hills attractions are all a close driving distance. For those flying in, there are taxi services and Uber in Rapid City. Hill City also has a taxi service and we can provide contact information. Lots of parking space at the rental for vehicles, trailers or RV's. Most Black Hills attractions are close by due to our central location. Thanks. Acreage with over three acres for room to roam. Plenty of parking for large vehicles and trailers. WiFi is at the rental (Starlink system) and we also added a cell phone booster for better data and phone coverage. A seasonal Winery and Brewery (Firehouse Smokejumper Station) is located across the road and they also serve food.
