Home in Detroit

Bring the family or friends and experience beautiful Detroit Lake! Spend the day swimming, boating, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, or hiking and relax by the fire in the evening. This home is on the lakeside of Highway 22 and is a very short walk to the Mountain High grocery store, the city park, and both marinas at Detroit Lake. Easy access from Portland, Salem, or Eugene, and only an hour from Sisters, Oregon. The space Our new home was completed in August 2022. The home is about 1500 square feet with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It is air conditioned, well equipped, and suitable for up to 8 people. There is ample parking for vehicles and boat trailers, and outside living space to relax and unwind. This home is not lake front and does not have a lake view, however the lake is a short walk away. Outside: There are two concrete patios, a patio table with chairs, a firepit area, and ample parking for vehicles and boat trailers. Garage: The garage is a great place to store coolers, water toys, or extra gear. There is a spare refrigerator, folding chairs, cornhole boards, and a barbecue for guest use. Please be respectful and return anything used to where it was found, in the condition it was found in. Laundry room: Guests will have access to a washing machine, dryer, laundry detergent, lake/boat towels, and food storage. Bedrooms/bathrooms: The house has four bedrooms. Two bedrooms each have two twin beds, and the other two bedrooms each have a queen bed. Note that one bedroom with a queen bed is the primary bedroom with a full bathroom attached and a walk-in closet. The other bedroom with a queen bed does not have a closet but does have a dresser. There is a second full bathroom in the hallway. Kitchen and Dining: The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you would need to make a meal including an oven, microwave, dishwasher, stove top, pots, pans, plates, silverware, etc. There is a side-by-side refrigerator w/ ice maker, and ample storage for food. We have a Keurig and a regular coffee pot as well. There is an island with three bar stools, and a larger dining table with seating for six. Family room: The family room has a sectional couch w/ ottoman, and a comfy leather recliner for relaxing. There is one TV in the house though no cable service. A DVD player is available for guest use, and there are some DVD’s or you may bring your own. Guest access Guests will be provided with access instructions prior to arrival. Other things to note Detroit Lake is a reservoir, and the water level is controlled by the Army Corp of Engineers. It’s common for the water level to be lowered in the fall, winter, and spring. If you’re looking to launch a boat, check on the lake level ahead of time!
