Welcome to ANKORYA - A luxury, fully solar-powered home perched above the sandy beaches of Whitsand Bay. Uniquely private, with jaw-dropping panoramic ocean views. NOTE: ANKORYA is a 4-8 minute scenic, and at times steep, trek on foot from the main road on the SW Coast Path & our private path. Due to the nature of the access, it's not suitable for those with limited mobility. The space Five things to know about ANKORYA: 1. Having a green, eco-friendly beach holiday is simple in our luxe solar-powered chalet - We have all the mod-cons (Dishwasher, WiFi, electric kettle, TV, convection oven, hair dryer, etc.) but they are powered fully by the sun with our solar panels and lithium batteries. Not to worry, we store enough power in the batteries on sunny days to last throughout rainy days. 2. The house has no road access, but the location is unparalleled! Parking is on a first-come, first-served basis on the main coastal road that runs atop the cliffside. The path down to ANKORYA is a steeply sloped path and can be slippery when wet; proper shoes with good grip are a must, and light backpacks will be much more suitable than heavy suitcases. The incredible privacy and ocean views are well worth the walk, but keep in mind, it'll be a hike to pop out for milk! 3. Privacy & Access - Because of the unique location and privacy of being perched above the beach, ANKORYA is absolutely perfect for remote workers, honeymooners, writers, artists, musicians, and adventurous coastal explorers. Our front gate sits smack on the South Coast Path with its network of 600+ miles of incredible coastal walks in either direction! Just decide to turn left, or right! 4. The house was recently refurnished & updated with a brand new kitchen and bath remodel. Enjoy the "Danish mid-century" meets "surf shack hideaway" aesthetics of ANKORYA with a mix of vintage and new furnishings. 5. This is a rare and unique homestay, rather than just another "holiday let" - We welcome you to enjoy our dream home while we are away traveling and fully experience living amongst nature in this stunning Cornish coastal setting!
