Planning a Cotswold getaway with friends and family? Our 17th-century townhouse in the heart of Chipping Norton offers history, character, and modern comforts. Once a wine merchant’s house (now featuring a newly installed Wine Room), tea merchant, girls’ school, and doctor’s surgery, it’s full of charm and rich history with wonky floors and carefully preserved features. Daylesford, Diddly Squat, and Soho Farmhouse are just 10 minutes away, with cafes, pubs, and pastries right on our doorstep. The space 6 Spacious Double Bedrooms Each with its own unique character, both comfort and style, ensuring a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring the Cotswolds. 3 Cozy Sitting Rooms Perfect for relaxing with family and friends or curling up with a good book from the library. Designed for comfort, squidgy sofas, period features and warm inviting décor. 2 Bathrooms Our main bathroom is generously sized, bright and equipped with all the essentials, shower, free standing cast iron bath and large period sink. Our top floor bathroom is a characterful little nook with shower, period features with characterful timber floor. Kitchen A gathering sociable space for the whole group to cook and enjoy meals together. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances to make meal prep a breeze. We have a larder full of condiments, herbs and spices to use. Library Curl up with a book from our carefully curated collection and enjoy some quiet time in this peaceful space. Party Dining Room With seating for 18+ perfect for large gatherings or celebrations. The showstopper here is the Wine Wall, stocked with bottles available for purchase. Garden Step outside into our beautiful garden, perfect for al fresco dining with a BBQ and fire pit for evenings spent under the stars. Guest access All areas except for the cellar. Other things to note Our house is very old and wonky. Unfortunately there isn’t disabled access. I’m afraid we also do not accept stag and hen do’s.
